Subaru extended warranty.

Featured Replies

Have any of you guys taken out a Subaru extended warranty on your car? If so how much was it and do you think it was worth it?

My XV is I only 2 years old at the moment but it's done 51500 miles so will be out of warranty soon.

I asked this in general subaru chat but no response. I've asked my local dealer and they didn't know and haven't got back to me yet.

Thanks.

Norrie.

I don’t know the answer to that, I had a 2013 XV and that came with a 100k / 5yr warranty. Although the last 2 yrs only covers Drive train.

i was thinking of getting a generic extended warranty next year.

The bumper to bumper warranty is only 3 years or 60,000 miles.

All subaru since at least 2012 come with a 3yr warranty bumper to bumper then a drivetrain warranty extension for another 2yrs making up the 5yrs. The warranty has a 100,000 mile cap.

if the dealer told you 3yr 60k thats not what Subaru are selling with the car I’d challenge that.

my wife had a 2012 a 2017 and I’ve got a 2013 all of these came with Subaru standard warranty of 5yrs/100,000 miles.

Yeah but the 3 year bumper to bumper has a 60k cap hence me looking at extending it.

The dealership has eventually got back to me after me asking several times and apparently Subaru don't do an extended warranty.

You might be able to get cover that you want from a commercial company, although you seem to be looking for mileage extension within the standard warranty period?

As I’m waiting for my car to come I’ve now looked at the warranty for the additional two years and it’s a bit pick and mix.
