Was looking at the dipping kit you can get seems quite a good idea but lots of waste with the carbon film.

Yeh I looked at them though I think I prefer the viynl ιt had a texture to ιt, how long ιt lasts though! I'll have to let you know lol

I've been looking at this dipping kit and been thinking of having ago at making my own big tank and setting a side line up with it with the aim of maybe a full business. the Tank is easy enough to make I work with it everyday so can get that and have the space to store it even in the new house if I get it in a few month. (might be able to host a BBQ still this year) :)

Looks good , I bet there were some swear words along the way , I've seen a picture of this done on a forester the same as mine that looked nice I was thinking of doing mine but wouldn't have the patients :)

Ha ha Iam not the most patient of people bud! When I get into something the wife/kids/dogs all leave me be!! Yes there was a few words ɑnd a few bits of screwed up wrap thrown lol!

I like that a lot, watching some tutorials and doesn't seem too tricky to do really. Which has lead me to ebay, and looks cheap enough. Now deciding what to cover in my own car... Going to start with the centre arm rest just to try it and go from there I think

Pretty happy with my first attempt at it, will be doing more in the future.

 

Its turned out well

I like it even more so as it's all facing the same way, when I did this a couple of years ago the amount of times I had to redo pieces cause the light caught it wrong and made random bits stick out like a sore thumb. May do mine though what colour/style I'm not sure

Its not as difficult as it looks really, but I am a Karndean/Amtico installer which means I do know the angles and stuff.

 

Mine was done (not by me but i have done interior wraps before)

 

i like it but its starting to crack at one bit so i may re-do it

Any advice on someone looking to remove the pieces to do this?

i.e. how do i remove them ?

I'd get a heat gun or a hair dryer to peel it off. use a bit of petrol to clean any left over glue. Or sticky stuff remover can be bought from halfords using you discount card ;)

im going to be wrapping my bonnet this week with 4d carbon wrap so will get pics up once done 

I removed my carbon sticker, it was drying up and had some cracks in. 

tried to replace with a mat black but couldn't push it into the shape of the bit surrounding the radio.

 

ended up straying it piano black. it's okay but I think it could look better.
