tom_gr7
yeah looks nice bud :) I never thought I'd be into cars. Always been more of a sport guy, or a techie. But I'm really enjoying this scooby hobby! I got another "that's a nice car" comment today :D

Jonny b
Cheers guys ιt feels great on the road! Had all the drop links done too! No more annoying rattles lol! Fog covers I just quickly wrapped in carbon! Only till I get em painted. Always hated the fact I had one mint spotlight, ɑnd one cracked. Had started rusting the inner which I hate, just need to get the wheels done white. Get a few scratches done ɑnd she's mint.. Happy days
Gambit
Had the same thing with the blobeye when it was bought had a smashed fog bought one on fleebay it used to niggle me :D but it's on my list to do fog covers for both :)
tje
Does lowering them make them behave much differently? I've thought my hawkeye ride was quite hard. Well feel most of the bumps in the road anyway. They do look nice lowered. Is it worth doing with a standard 2.0 r sport?
Gambit
I would say it's your car and your money but I would do it :D It does make the bumps worse some I've driven over really does send shivers down your spine as it rattles every part of your body and car. but the road feel and handling is great. I had strut braces fitted front and back too.
tje
Last car I had lowered was a fiesta zetec s. Drove the a52 from derby across to the m6. Made me feel sick with all the bumps. That's been put me off since. That was on low profile tyres though and my impreza is on 16"s with more rubber round the rim so hopefully not as bad. Ought be worth a shot as there's so much space round the wheels right now
BoozyDave
it looks loads better when I bought my blob it looked like it was on stilts, they look loads better dropped 30mm I didn't notice any difference in ride
Gaulson
I had Prodive suspension on mine, nice handling but if i'm honest I prefer the standard WRX suspension but the roads around me are terrible :( . The council doesn't care about country lanes really lol. This is by far the most fun car i've owned, past couple of days I've had thumbs up and nice comments by all ages! Never been happier :)
tje
Can anyone point me in the best direction for what I should be looking for? Or where to buy from?
stants
How much would you like to spend ? Can just buy new springs for a little, to a full set of shocks with new springs, adjustable top mounts etc
Jonny b
I just went with the cheap option for time being, springs were £100 ιsh for apex 40 mm kit! The coilovers I want are fookin expensive so I'll get the family hols out the way first lol
Jonny b
Oh yeh euro car parts do them
tje
To be honest. I don't want to do it cheap and have it ruin the car in anyway. But I don't want to spend more than I need too. I'd rather save up and do it properly, so I guess coilovers are the way to go? Or will the standard shocks be ok with just some lowering springs? Jonny b
They are decent springs mate came recomended by a couple of scooby owners ɑnd reveiws on the net said the same! I used my standard shocks, I payed less than most as a pal got me em trade

Dogconker
Never liked wheeler dealers, the mechanic is a bit of a bod get. I've seen him do a few things that I've thought were a bit off. But fast and load is just funny and has proper cool cars on it Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
