james26 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 People can be so shady making fake claims just to line their pockets they don't think or care how it effect the other person...
stants Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 I did the almost the same thing last year had the car 3 days. Lad in front should have gone by the time I'd checked again and assumed he's be off up the road he was still there. Only let off the clutch so minor bump, I was so !Removed! of with myslf I jumped out the car swearing my head off. Poor lad was only 18 just passed test, though I was going to chin him checked cars no damage he was so apologetic too lol. Worst thing was he worked in super market I was en route to. Spent the next mont expecting a solicitors letter :O
Gambit Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Lol public liability I remember going to car meets in car parks [emoji13] don't judge LOL I know all I have asked is to be able to park up on a village playing fields Nothing more
james26 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 People are crazy it's not like it would be all burnouts and drifting everyone panics now cos it's so easy to claim against people
Dogconker Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I did car park meets too, but when I did it I had the smallest engineer there at 2.0l and 200bhp, we never did burnout a or any of that and often locals would come over to look at and talk about the cars. It's different now. Hey, how's about that, I said all that without having to say "when I were a lad . . . . " Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
Dogconker Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Ha ha, I love predictive text, yes before anyone else says it my engineer was a midget [emoji41] Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
Dogconker Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I'll bring my little engineer [emoji2] Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk

james26 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Lol no hoping it's going to come tomorrow I think I'm going to go for a decat next we had a import wrx sti my missus hated that she's a bit happier with this lol 1
Gaulson Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Given her a clean and a spin dry, thought about taking the plastic bits out of the engine bay and spucing them up but running out of daylight. Will give the engine bay a good clean tomorrow if weather holds out :) . Everyone is going away this weekend, my mates, family, you name it. So it's just me and the Subaru... plenty of time to mess around with it
Rick 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Lol no hoping it's going to come tomorrow I think I'm going to go for a decat next we had a import wrx sti my missus hated that she's a bit happier with this lol You will have to let me now how the wrx suspension goes then.
james26 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Will take some pics before and after hopefully it comes tomorrow so I can fit sunday...
savage bulldogs Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Had a failed attempt at fitting my turbo blanket [emoji19] which resulted in me being covered in itchy downpipe heat wrap [emoji39] It's not gonna be a 5 minute fit due to the fmic pipework being in the way . As for lowering fozies with wrx springs I think they make the back end sit a bit lower due to the extra weight ,but they do spacers to even up the ride height .[emoji6] Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 1
Gambit Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Well Rads in working great very easy to replace. I will do a how to guide if I do the Bugeye next :) Bugeyes job for today will be clutch fluid drain down and top up is on the jobs today if I get chance And going back to the local meets I've spoke with a pub he originally said we could use his car park but has gone back on that now and no longer wants it. What annoys me is if the event takes off it will bring money into the pub and as said above I would say people will come and have a look around the cars and pop for a chat with us too.
tom_gr7 Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Could we not just up turn in a pub car park? As long as we go in a get a few drinks/food we will be patrons and they can't really complain :)
david1972 Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Not strictly Subaru [emoji15], but test driving a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV later today....it's the wife's car of choice to replace my works lease car she wrote off last month Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
JusNoGood Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Been busy the last week pampering the car... Full service by Dan and John at Surrey Subaru Specialists (highly recommended). This included new rear discs and pads, replace standard centre pipe and back box (pea shooters) with Prodrive WR Sport (wow it sound different. Yesterday fitted sound proofing in boot and behind front speakers. Not really driven the car yet to see if it's made a difference. Today bought a few more cleaning products from Halfrauds 3 for 2. Including a clay kit, keen to give it a go but looks like rain at the moment :(
Gambit Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Could we not just up turn in a pub car park? As long as we go in a get a few drinks/food we will be patrons and they can't really complain :) Thats true :D But to be fair I'm that pi$$ed off with it I wouldn't want to spend money there now. I started looking at places nearly a month ago and get so much crap about insurance. I can't help but think thats what made the landlord pull out know it would be on his premisses and his insurance. All I want is something that's convenient to get to for both local towns, has the space and facilities for anyone bringing families and does food and drink. I did think about Manby Airfield but that is all it is an airfield nothing else :(
tom_gr7 Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Just spent the last 3 hours washing and waxing the scooby. Nice and shiny now :) Annoyingly, i do get some weird looks and no one ever says thanks when i move out of their way as they drive past. 1
Gaulson Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Spent most of the day doing a little bit of a clean in the engine bay, will be posting on my project page soon :) Hopefully you will find somewhere Gambit, would be good to do a little meet for club members and tag alongs! Now James on the subject of them females, I thought getting a Subaru (especially a blue one with gold wheels) would liven up the attention but so far owning this beast has given me no extra pleasure besides the boost :P . I'm obviously living in the wrong place, I would be better owning a tractor!
