Also we were walking and a Lancaster flew over unexpectedly, that thing really makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Yeah, I've seen them at air shows, but when your out for a walk and you can here the rumble and then this thing comes over the trees at about a hundred feet it's pretty spectacular, they didn't have the hurricane or spitfire when we saw it. Me and the wife are off to the Mach loop this year, mainly for me to photograph the aircraft. here's a couple of minutes of F15s and you'll see why I want to photograph there Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Gambit Posted February 23, 2015 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Had a merlin as well flying really low but by the time I'd got the camera out it had flown off. See the red arrows a lot too but they're based not to far from me. The C130 come over doing flybys dropping flares. I knpw as a kid when I used to come out this way the A10 and the tornados used to keep me amazed for hour's especially with the live rounds practice but they don't do that anymore [emoji22] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
