  1. It does sound like the diagnosis Gambit gave could be right I'm afraid, if the piston is cracked it's enough to let the oil through, if the ring has broke it would do the same, have you only looked at the black stuff coming out the exhaust or have you dabbed it and smelt it? If the exhaust has condensation in then the soot can come out wet and look like oil
  2. That did cross my mind as I was typing it tbh lol
  3. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/121194767962 God damn I would sell both my testes for these babies
  4. I want the hardcore stuff gambit, the leather and mask isn't enough, I need insertion pics the lot, maybe some dogging adventure vids too..... OHHHH BUGGEERRRRR SPLURGHHHMPHHH That's made a mess
  5. It's not something I can afford at the moment plus I have other issues to deal with first but if someone the is going to be attending could make an enquiry for me, I'd like to know how much it would be to have an 8S ecu fettled, I know I'll need a custom setup with piggy back or stand alone but a rough price fitted and mapped would be great, no buggy if you can't do it guys
  6. I bought some audi wheels once that had Goodyear vector 4 seasons on, they were cracking tyres in all weather's, it was on a 4 wheel drive golf and I couldn't fault them, I had lamborghini wheels on the same car before the audi wheels and it was quite easy to get the car sideways at 50 in the dry with some nankang tyres on (ditch finders) when I took the same bend on the Goodyear tyres I got to 85 before I felt it going and even then it was struggling to slip, I also live on quite a steep hill and the nankangs would take a while to get me up there in bad weather, the good years made snow driving like rain driving, very impressed with them and if I get a set of winter wheels for the scoob I will most likely invest in some, the limited sizes means I can't fit them to my current wheels, be aware though they aren't the cheapest tyres but are worth it for an all rounder
  7. Plenty of wd left to soak for at least ten minutes, get a hex socket not a spline type one so there's less chance of rounding it, also for removing the sensors themselves there's specific sockets for them, makes it much easier
  8. Just keep me mucky thought t' me self lol
  9. Sorry when I said top right I meant top left, I selected add quick reply in the settings and when I'm in a thread I have a reply box at the bottom
  10. I'm not sure the classics have the avcs to be honest
  11. I'm gonna keep my mush shut, don't wanna offend anyone lol
  12. There's 2 kinds of lambdas pretty and post cat, pretty cat ones are pretty heater post ones aren't, you'll only need a cheap universal one if it's just for the gauge, or could even use one from another car
  13. Just swapped to my tablet and noticed I haven't turn the sig off on that lol Another recommendation I have for phones and tablets is SwiftKey keyboard app, it makes predictive text and shortcuts much more easy to use and it learns from you quicker too, and you can add your own words to the dictionary
  14. Is that any good to you bud? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  15. I have this forum linked to my Facebook for almost all the forums I use so all I have to do when I switch devices is hit the Facebook button and all the forums show up and I choose the one I want to go on, it's been a while since I used the normal login as since Facebook has been on tapatalk it's just easier but the log in stuff should be in the top right corner when you try to view a forum, I'm on Android so not sure if your on ios it might differ, as for knowing earlier gambit if you look at suggestions one of my first posts was for tapatalk, also if you go into settings you can create custom sigs for tapatalk or turn off all together, and the reason I use it stanton is the fact it's phone friendly so doesn't load all the adverts and crop that uses your Internet mb's and also makes it faster to load what you want, you can also go to the settings and chose to load threads at the last post you read so your not looking up and down at stuff you've already read Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  16. My last reply above this one is via tapatalk with the sig turned off, is that still showing to you on a pc?
  17. Yeh, I used to get wound up with it when I first started using it a few years ago, I got used to who used it and who didn't so you'd know how far to read on certain posts, it shades it grey when your reading it via tapatalk though, don't know why they can't do that for reading it on a pc
  18. Oops, I'll shift mine for ya, some like it some don't Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  19. Haha quality Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  20. Oh Yeh baby, tapatalk is here Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  21. woohoo, thanks Steve, i can do most of the forum stuff from my phone now, so much quicker and easier to use than the forum on a phone via the net
  22. i suppose they give you the bull of not watching you so you get it then as soon as you start the car they're on the ball and giving you grief, a bit out of order if you ask me and too much like a nanny state, ever since i found classic insurance was for any car over 15 years i have been trying to keep my cars that age or older as the insurance takes a massive drop in price when you have a classic policy
  23. welcome to the club, i have been a long time fan and owner of german cars and now you can throw a stone with closed eyes and find a VW forum, with subaru's there are only a hand full of forums available which i think reflects the uniqueness of subaru ownership
  24. as far as i know these tracker things for insurance are only supposed to be used like a black box recorder in a plane, if you go 12 months with no accidents they don't look at the recorder, if you do have an accident say on the 11 month of having it your whole 11 months of driving is then reviewed, i found out a while back after bumping a car on ice and causing major front end damage on mine that if i repair it without a claim for MY car it doesn't affect my no claims, 20 mins after the incident i'd sourced all the repair parts of a mate who brakes just that one model of car, by the time the insurance had called me back the parts were at my feet and being fitted, i told them i didn't want an assessor out as he would just write it off and they were fine with that, the other party repaired his car via my insurance and when i came to renew they told me there was no incident recorded on my file, bonus
