  1. Does the centre section even have a cat in it? Or is it including the cat replacement? I’ve been seeing this today but been undoing Allen bolts to move my bed all day ffs Allen bolts 😡🤬
  2. They do a kit specifically for fitting an uppipe mate. An Sti uppipe used is like £60, Brand new decat uppipes are like £150-£200 ish. The labour because of where it is will not be cheap that is if your mechanic doesn’t throw a hissy fit cause you want to supply your own parts I’ve had this loads in the past til I found the guy I use now. I’d send your scan tool back and say money please buy one that will work and clear the code then enjoy your car for a while while you save for a few bits and a map. You can probably achieve this with like £500-£600 tops if you go to the right person. Again mate you really need to know what that code is so you don’t pay for a mechanic to guess and just throw a grand down the toilet for the code to come back on the way home. By the sounds of it they have read the code and plan to just throw a new cat at it and hope for the best. I hope this isn’t tainting your enjoyment of your car mate There are so many who have gone through this with Scoobys me included.
  3. As far as I’m aware mate you don’t have cat in uppipe. None essential unless it’s replace with a sports cat like cobra/ Prodrive and I think it still needs mapped.
  4. Aye sandals your spot on there just looked it up no cats in headers. That’s actually great to know cause I was planning swapping up pipe and headers for Sti counterparts. Funny who the wrx has a pre cat and yet costs the same on tax so why is it there 🤔
  5. I’ve used Mb developments for used Scooby parts before and they are top notch mate they on Facebook but if you don’t have Facebook just type them in to google, the picture is obviously a kit but they do individual gaskets aswell mate
  6. Not sure if anyone has heard about this but knockhill are going to be doing this next year
  7. You could just get replacements from a breaker’s mate if your just staying standard the now will save you a bomb. Did they tell you what the code was?
  8. aw well I was half right then lol I thought they had a cat in the headers aswell and that’s why people swapped the Sti ones on.
  9. Yes it should have mate unless it’s been removed by prev owner. The wrx has catted headers and up pipe the Sti doesn’t. Stupid place to put a cat right in front of the turbo lol
  10. That’s weird that scanner didn’t work mate it’s a cheap amazon number I have and it works fine. You didn’t say to them I’m not in a hurry did you lol? That means to a mechanic when I can be arsed lol
  11. It plugs in your obd port which is under your steering wheel column, you can read the codes with engine running but all you really need to do is turn ignition on and the scanner tells you the rest 👍👍
  12. Haha 😂 pmsl I vision you shouting this in his letterbox, good point but any news Daryl?
  13. That’s a cool wee page mate well done 👍
  14. Sti up pipe since it’s catless and looks standard and I already have a cobra sports cat down pipe but that’s not cheap. Since you already have ppp you could get a decat down pipe which is a lot cheaper. Not sure if you’d pass emissions with just the secondary sports cat. Great choice before map but you will feel a difference.

  18. Well if it helps mate I’ve two weans and the saloon is big enough to cart them and all there stuff about aswell 👍 you could go front mount inter cooler then get a gx bonnet or something. Good luck mate keep us posted
  19. !Removed! I’ve ma two to watch the morra so I’ll know exactly how ya feel 😂🤣 def a record I’d reckon mate lol but if you don’t ask you don’t know
  20. Have a look in your ps fluid resivoir wi the engine running if there’s bubbles your drawing in air.
  21. Sake 200 replies 😂🤣😂
  22. as long as you’ve put 4.5L in it crack open a cold wan and chill you’ll get used to all this in time mate 👍
  23. I have a blobeye saloon and it’s brilliant mate. The 2.5 reliability thing as the guys are saying is a risk but not necessarily inevitable. But if you do go for one maybe just have a fook me it’s fooked fund. As jay says though it’s easy done to swap a hawk front end onto a bug/blob I’ve seen it done and you wouldn’t know if it’s done right. My favourite version is the bugeye but after living with a blob it grows on you quickly. Legacy is a great option aswell very similar with grown up looks still a belting car.
  24. Yeah pretty sure anything red at the front is heavily illegal. Can’t advise unfortunately I’m useless way electronics lol. Hope someone can help ye mate
  25. In between the L and F on your dip stick I always put 4.5L in that’s the ej20’s capacity
