  1. I was the same my first car was a polo and I had it service once in 4 year cause I really didn’t care about it 😂🤣, I garuntee if you took it to an avarage mechanic they wouldn’t fill it but you”ll see why when you do it next time it’s surprising how much it takes to fill it lol
  2. Aye most guys change it every 3k on these, I check oil level ever 500 miles or so aswel, I usually do fill the filter first. Will be fine on this occasion just so it doesn’t run dry on first start but your engine should still have a coating from previous oil.
  3. Pmsl at the hard hat 😂🤣, it will just sound smoother on tick over but it will keep the engine happy and clean 3,000miles to go for your next one. Good buy there way the jack 👍 canny mind did you say this car has The Prodrive pack?
  4. Aye mate a combo of no history bad mechanics and corrosion. In fairness I did abuse it a bit aswell though lol. Aww you’ve caught the Scooby bug 😂🤣
  5. It’s cool mate I wish I had been on here asking questions before I bought my bugeye that was a disaster 😂🤣
  6. Aye mate still looks like heatsheild I think the netting is some sorts of insulation. Best way to tell is run the engine and put so card or paper on it and if air wafts it about then it’s a leak. Obviously be careful it’s extremely hot
  7. So im finally gonna be able to spend some Keesh on my wrx soon and I’m 100% now that it’s the low pressure line on my ps pump that’s leaking so that’s first. The only trouble is I’ve looked for a seal kit and the only ones I can find on ICP says bugeye only and the other says 06-14 years wtf. Is the ps pump not the same on the bug and blob anyone know?
  8. Has your scanner arrived?
  9. Lol 😂 was just typing that
  10. That’s just the heat shield your looking at mate,
  11. By the looks of the work you’ve posted here I’d say you could make a good go of it when the times right mate.
  12. That should be fine mate mind it’s a crush washer. If you order a oem from Import car parts next time you can choose to add washer it’s like a quid more, obviously your wanting it done ASAP this time so should be cool
  13. Not sure mate maybe just get used dials from a breaker? Hopefully someone will jump in here who’s done it before. Good lucky man
  14. Exhaust mods and a fuel pump are probably the most cost effective. Speak to a mapper before hand aswell.
  15. Just buy a decent panel filter instead standard air box is well better unless 350hp is your ballpark, then if your on a budget get an open source map should only cost about 200-250 quid. on the topic of can you replace up pipe with out map I’m not sure some say yes some say no. A good starting point is fuel pump panel filter cat back exhaust and map makes a difference. Of course decat or sports cat down pipe are options aswell. Again this is what anyone who mods/ maps Subaru’s will tell you.
  16. Just be careful this happened on my last wrx and I wasted money buying lamda sensors and all sorts. A Normal garage can replace it no bother but it’s finding out the real issue in the first place to save you a head ache. If it’s P0420 there’s threads all over the internet telling you what to do man. You will probably still be fine to drive it man
  17. If it is a the cat I’d say it is more than likely to be the one in the up pipe so if I were you I’d replace with used Sti up pipe which is cat less and get it mapped that is if you are wanting to mod at all
  18. I wouldn’t panic about it mate if the car is running fine. You will be able to read codes clear codes and probably see live data on your wee scanner I can on mine and It’s a amazon special too lol. Out of interest what was the driving conditions when the code came up?
  19. I’m sure if it’s flashing that means misfire. Euro mate if you want it now I’m sure you can get them cheaper on amazon
  20. I’d first buy a cheap scan tool you can get them for about £10-15 so you can find out what the code is. I’d guess it’s P0420 if it’s not flashing.
  21. I think our cars have different paint codes or I would consider making a deal to swap you cause I want the low level wing for mine
  22. Aye man same stuff for gearbox n diff
  23. Make sure to change the sump washer aswell mate
  24. Love the wagons mate all that extra space with virtually no difference in performance if any. In hind sight I should have bought one but oh well maybe next time lol
  25. Nice one have been able to stop driving it yet? 😂
