  1. Gutted I missed this :(. Hope the next one is as good.
  2. Actually I'm with the Merc on this. When a lane is closed due to roadworks or whatever reason that becomes a filter lane! It's meant to be used! I see this all time with the 1000's of miles I do for work. 2 lanes with 1 not being utilised as it should, causing more congestion which in a lot of occasions can lead back to a roundabout or junction - creating and stopping traffic that isn't even going anywhere along the route which has a lane closed. Which wouldn't happen if people used both lanes fully. If people actually used both the lanes it would relieve some traffic at previous junctions and would actually move smoother at the "pinch point" if one from each lane took it in turns as they should. With how people seem to ignore the free lane they may as well close it miles up the road from whatever is causing the lane to be shut and have done with it. I'm not saying I do that myself because as that vid shows everyone thinks your a prick if you do use it so I normally just sit in the huge queue like every other idiot. They even place signs at some of these sections stating clearly "USE BOTH LANES!" Because it does create even more traffic. Yet only a handful of pricks - as most people would call them - actually do. Sorry for the mini rant but it really annoys me! Edit - just read some comments on the vid, looks like I'm not the only one. Found the term I was trying to think of too - Merge in Turn. Not enough people understand it.
  3. I'm not going to be able to make it now :(. Something has come up at home. Hope it's a good turnout, hopefully will make the next one. Sorry guys :(

Yea, I've just washed car and have started watching it. Got too much to do to be able to see it all today but looking forward to it
  5. Love that Evo pic haha! Looks a nice motor too. I've just cleaned and waxed mine. Finally used my electric polisher I got for Christmas to apply and buff it. It's excellent! Made what normally takes 1-2 hours take only 30 minutes including smaller areas I still did by hand. I do to think it doesn't beat a proper hand wax and polish when done properly but for quick application and top up its brilliant. And with some better quality pads and practice I can see it being just as good if not better. Well happy. :)

Haha looks like you and I are against each other in this then Pete. I don't want Plato to win and TD are the ones I'm routing for. Sheddon over Neal though, by far! Spoilers from Brands Hatch if you've not seen it yet - I've been really busy so,only just caught up with Brands Hatch. How !Removed! awesome were rounds 2 & 3?! :D Think the new rule of fastest lap Bet you were gutted about Plato in the second race eh? Got to admit although Sheddon won, Plato was a lot faster in that race. Although Sheddon still did the fastest lap in round 3 if I remember rightly? So obviously the TD Type R has the pace :). Must have been the fight he was having against Priaulx in 3rd that slowed him down. Speaking of Priaulx, what a awesome racer he is. Got straight in there! Definitely going to be following him this season if he keeps it up. Exactly how a former champ should be on return - found Menu disappointing last season for that reason.
  7. Some great pics there mate! Are you taking it to Carnetix in Leicester? That's where I'm going to take mine for setup when I've got all my parts through :)

Back this weekend! Anyone else looking forward to it? Looking forward to seeing the new Type R in action and been a few team changes since last year. I'm backing Gordan Shedden :)
  9. Yea, they were £40 cheaper on Scoobyworld. Plus they said the gold ones are discontinued, can't even find them on Whitelines website so was a no brainer to get the silver ones instead. Ash - I definitely won't have them fitted before the 13th. Going to be at least May, possibly June before I do. Waiting until Ive got all the parts then going to have it all done at once with a full geo setup.
  10. Got a couple of Whiteline goods through :) Got a 22mm adjustable rear anti roll bar and C drop links. First of a few Whiteline suspension goody packs that will be arriving over the next month or 2 :)
  11. I'll be there :) On the 20th that is.
  12. I'd have been up for this but sounds like I'm the only one haha! I agree seeing it in first week would be a crazy move though.
  13. I got about 25mpg. Not too bad I don't think.
  14. Never stops Tom. In fact just ordered £200 worth of parts. Got another £350 worth in my basket still waiting for my next couple of paydays to get them paid off lol. Once I've got those then it's saving for fitment, then will be saving for my next parts/maintenance work. Never ends!
  15. Sounds good Stants, when I last went there a few years ago we did spend a good 3 hours+ driving through the surrounding areas. Some awesome roads round there, but I can't remember where they are so yea, could do with a guide again lol. I'd be well up for it, hope there's time if you do make it.
  16. Yea Mike, Sheff Subaru Services is the one Ash and I recommended. Like Stants says, he'll charge about £380 for it while most I asked wanted £600+ Martin is the guy who runs it and he's worked on Subaru's for years. Worked at the dealership for a lot of that too like I said, so he knows what he's doing. Always does a great job on mine.
  17. Its an awesome, famous road in the northern part of the Yorkshire dales. Theres a huge meet to go on a drive through the dales and along it at the end of April. Ive posted a thread about it if youre interested?
  18. Haha only messing Mike :) Yea, would be great to have more vids from different viewpoints Heres the 2nd one as promised.
  19. What you trying to say?! Haha! I've got that second video too of us driving up to the Abbey but it still had 40 minutes left and I was ready for bed so will post that one later today. Glad you like it Stants. Like I say I had it at 720p but it goes to 1080p so I'm going to nip out this weekend and try it on that setting. See if the quality is any better.
  20. First one is. Nothing exciting I'm afraid but better than nothing I suppose. Can see the sheep legging it at the start though when you scared the shot out of them haha!
  21. Just realised in any future vids where we may be driving a bit more "spirited" I can set it to private or Invite only too so can still post them up :) and add you guys as the ones who can view them. Gutted I didn't have it running for the little blast I had with Stants too, would have made a good vid that.
  22. Why do you think I didn't delete that one haha! Mike the one I've got of you is for the drive to the Abbey. It's pretty much all steady town driving due to this though but thought you might like the vid anyway. Right, uploading them to youtube now then. It'll be done by end of tomorrow looking at progress bar haha.
  23. Already spoke to Stants about it but in case anyone else wants any more info... Im afraid there isnt much haha! This is all the info there is: It's that time again! Convoy through the Yorkshire Dales and over the Buttertubs Pass. Good roads, good company and good craic! This is the 4th year of The Buttertubs Run and it gets bigger every year. All cars are welcome, so long as it can keep up, but be warned it's not for Sunday drivers! 24. Was a great day out! Really enjoyed it, good to hear it sounds like we're ok on that too Stants. Fingers crossed. Good meeting you Mikey. Hope you can make more of the meets in future. Yours does shift too, think that graph you have is pretty accurate lol. Heres a couple of my pics. ***DISCLAIMER*** first time using a gopro camera and found its really hard taking pics with it without a screen or eye piece to look through. Deleted most of them haha! As for the vids - id have to buy seperate software to blur out plates. Which arent cheap and it doesnt look easy to do either . But I captured it at 720p and the plates arent that clear on it anyway although you can still make them out at certain points. Ive cut 2 vids to about 4 mins of footage each and its all sensible driving so its up to you guys if i post them up? Mainly aimed at Ash and Mikey as youre the only ones you can make the plates out on. can take them back down if youre not happy with them too. So, what do you say?
  25. Yea that's fine with me too. Will be on time on this occasion too since we've got a better starting meeting place lol
