  1. Looks mint either way
  2. Wonder if he meant the fuel cut not surge. My old one would cut out if it had less then a quarter fuel in and you took a corner too fast. Heard that's quite common too, this would sort that too would it not?
  3. Spare engine for the Isle of Man TT record breaking car
  4. Got to visit prodrive over the weekend and have a tour with a Facebook Scoob group. Was a brilliant day out, highly recommend it! Got some good pics too :)
  5. So got my new SC36 turbo, Alcatek ECU and new fuel pump fitted at Richard Henry over weekend. Decided to give Andy Carr a go a mapping. Very happy, runs sweet as !Removed!!!! Not sure of the figure because he did it on the road, no rolling road facility at Richard Henry's. but I can say my !Removed! Dyno says it's fast as hell. And very smooth and responsive. Got some sweet new switches for maps and anti lag too - which sounds unbelievable!!! Just need some bigger injectors and another tweak since they're all that's holding it back at the moment. But for now, it's amazing. Got to say a big thanks to the Richard Henry guys and Andy Carr for staying late too. On the way home the coolant hose to the turbo split, big plume of steam/smoke came out of the engine bay. Absolutely shitted it. Nursed it back and they stayed late to change the hose for a silicone one they had spare and give it another check over. Top lads :) Another couple of pics just because haha Got loads of comments how clean the car is in general and how they don't see many like this anymore too :)
  6. I might take you up on that Gambit, want to move anyway ;)
  7. Wonder what might be happening soon...
  8. Yea I know about that part, had DCCD in my last widetrack but it wasn't as extreme as this one, feels about right on 3rd one up in wet, 2nd one in dry :). Thanks Aucky :)
  9. Thanks for that Tidgy. Learn something new everyday, think I'll be keeping the DCCD more forward for a while at least. Or until i find a open space to have a play and learn it better ;) thanks Gambit! I love it. Look forward to getting to more meets when they start up again :). Will be showing this off at as many as I can haha! @stants yea that's a lot better for me too, was about to say I probably won't be able to tomorrow with work. Yea ill see you then mate :)
  10. I'm noticing that already!! Not even blasting it and the tail end has felt like it's slipping out a bit... I thought it was the tyres in the wet though. Guess not, must be the setup of them?
  11. Thanks for the kind words everyone! It really is !Removed! mint. Always wanted a classic but rot, running costs of a 16+ year old car and worrying about it being stolen has always put me off. But just decided to go for one now, especially after driving a mates and seeing just how much of a different beast these feel to newages. Plus just look at it, !Removed! gorgeous!! Feels like a go kart and so much more nimble even with less power it feels faster. Not been able to cane it yet though, had some engine work done, exhaust (Blitz, my god it sounds good!), fuel lines etc so needs mapping and keeping it off boost till then. Got a SC36 turbo ready to put on too. Got big plans for her :). Is that tomorrow Stants or next month? And too right I couldn't wait, was more for excited about this than holiday, by far!! Thanks Tidgy, nice little fact sheet there. Will have a better look when I have time :)
  12. Cheers mate. Sorry for late replay had a busy week+ heres the new girl -
  13. Recently picked up. Details and plans will follow ;)
  14. Thanks guys it's now sold!!
  15. Not yet to be honest. For price would rather wait and find a good one over here. This one I've seen though is just about perfect. Cheers mate. Yea it has, not sure of the make though. was on it when I bought it.
  16. Sorry, price added. Ive added better pics now too. Im staying in the Impreza Sti world, dont worry When this sells i can buy my new one. Keep your eyes peeled.
  17. For Sale 2004 JDM Widetrack DCCD Impreza STi Running 339bhp For sale is my JDM Impreza. Im the first owner since it was imported, purchased in March 2016. It has 131,433 on the clock which is a mixture of km & miles. I had the speedo converted to miles during the last MOT also in March at which point it was at 128,452km. Which means it is now at approximately 82,797 miles. Being a JDM its got a stronger engine with bigger AVCS heads to reduce lag, nitride coated crank, more aggressive cams, a quicker steering rack, Twinscroll turbo, equal length headers and a 8K redline. Being a Import the underside is in a lot better condition than any UK model I’ve seen, doesn’t even have any surface rust. One of the first jobs I did was get Martin at Sheffield Subaru Service to underseal it to help keep it this way. Since ownership general service and wear and tear items Ive had carried out are: · Had Major Service with all fluids, filters etc. changed along with a full check over and given the thumbs up by Martin at SSS. Millers 10w50 engine oil used. · Fitted PFR7b Spark Plugs · Undersealed · Fitted CAT 1 Toad Alarm (not standard on imports) · Replaced all 4 tyres with Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2’s · Replaced all 4 brake pads and discs with grooved ones from Godspeed · Had the Starter Motor Refurbed · Replaced Cambelt and Tensioners at 128,911 (approx 80,275 miles) Oil change again with Millers 10w50 17/09/16 now at 131520 Modifications; · Scoobyworx 340LPH fuel pump · Scoobyworx 3 Port Boost Solenoid · Forge Actuator with blue spring (OEM is known weak point on twinscrolls) · 3” Hayward & Scott Twinscroll Downpipe (heat wrapped) with new Gaskets · 3” Cobra Track Spec centre pipe and Tailpipe · K&N Cone Filter intake with custom made heat shield · Remap by Gaz at GR Perfomance for the above mods to 339bhp/320ftlb It still has a Jap radio installed at the moment. Ive got a new Bluetooth featured Sony double DIN radio costing £110 I’ve just not got around to installing. I will if I have time, but its included either way. Ive also got some braided brake lines ill include and ive booked it in for another oil change on Saturday 17th September. I also have the STi fog covers. Ive also got a louder 4.5” angled exit with burnt tip exhaust system by powerflow ill include for another £200. I’m afraid only I will drive the car on test drives unless you provide proof of insurance for the day. Ill take you on a decent length route so you can see it works perfectly but no one else will drive it so please don’t ask. Sorry. £9,000 ONO Contact: Nick - 07741292947
  18. I almost wish I did. Scrap that, what I really wish is that I'd just bought a allready modified widetrack UK instead for same price. The widetrack handling is on another level compared to my old one even after all upgrades I did. The DCCD is great fun too when it's wet and set power to back 😉 Oh well. At least the engine is stronger so when I do get to 400 I won't have to worry as much about it going bang. Yea, need to sort something out at some point mate.
  19. Haven't got access to any headers at the moment. Martin did say to me when I bought it he knows a couple of people who bought the JDM and converted to single scroll for burble back same as I now want to. Hoping he's the one who did their conversion then he'll know for sure..
  20. I'm pretty sure you don't actually need to change the sump, oil pick up etc when going to single though... Should just need to change headers, up pipe and downpipe. Which would save a lot of money with pats and labour if I don't need to change those bits. But not been able to get confirmation of this yet. Not seen Martin at SSS for a while so might pop up to his on Saturday to confirm. I'll update this thread to help others when I get it sorted. Or or I might just !Removed! it off and see if anyone wants to just swap for a UK model 😂.
  21. Thanks Savage. Yea it's the oily bits which are causing me the confusion. The exhaust parts and turbo I'm fine with.
  22. Hey guys, after a bit of info please. I really miss the burble so decided when I upgrade my turbo I'm going back to single scroll setup with UE headers. Now I've seen loads of info on how to convert from single to twin but not the reverse. I know I'll need the headers and up pipe obviously plus a new downpipe. What's confusing me is that the twin has a different sump and oil feed too, will I need to change these to go single scroll too or will they be ok? Anything else I've missed? Cheers
  23. Really sorry I missed it this year, car didn't start in the morning. I'll be honest, I threw toys out of pram with all trouble I've been having with it lately. I should have posted on here but I was fuming and couldn't face it, soz. turned out to just be a battery issue but that's no good now. Still, really **** to say how many had their names down, even worse than last year when only 3 of us turned up. Disappointing to say the least Feel even worse knowing dgarside was the only one there. Really !Removed! sorry mate.
