  1. I'm on FB but agree with most on here. It is for the greatest part, !Removed! ****! I'm on there for photos of nights out, car pages and things like that mainly.
  2. Yep had my discs and pads all round and the massive 60k service with him. Top job and bloke all round. Got it in to get some bearings in gearbox that are on their way out replaced next week too.

Location: West London I think that's the problem mate ;) Unfortunately. My bro lived in London and I remember when visiting there I always got a LOT more attention for the rozzers. That wasn't even in a Scoob either. I've not been pulled local to me or around my driving roads for 6+ years, and even that time it was only due to me driving early in morning on a weekend with a car full of lads (I'd gone out with them but not drank so drove) I'd have pulled me too in that situation lol. Said he couldn't smell beer on me so told me to be careful and let me on my way. I've always found police to be reasonable when I've had to deal with them. It's !Removed! fixed and mobile cameras that are the problem!
  4. Colin McRae, Richard Burns, the classic iconic rally livery, the blue with gold alloys look, the burble, the scoop, the power and AWD to name a few reasons. It's just a unique and iconic car that's had my heart and attention since I first saw Colin McRae rallying in one (on tv) years ago. Only recently been able to get insured on one but definitely worth the wait. Every time I go out in it, it's an event. Love it. Even though it does cost a !Removed! fortune!!!
  5. Braided lines are on the list too. Along with a million others things I want to do.... Plans keep getting pushed back though since it keeps throwing other bills at me. Like a very expensive gearbox repair. Just as I was about to buy 4 new tyres and get my new alloys on it finally! Damn thing!
  6. It just doesn't give me the confidence I'd like when really pushing on. Fits between the cylinder and bulkhead to stop it flexing as much.
  7. That's the problem though mine aren't stiff. They're spongy. Or at least they were - I've since had all pads and discs changed to Pagids and had the brake fluid replaced. It made a HUGE difference. They still aren't perfect, if you really push on it definitely feels like something's "bending" (best word to describe it) under the pressure. The stopper will be my next brake mod, I'm pretty sure it's to do master cylinder flexing - definitely what it feels like. I agree though, definitely been set up by a driving enthusiast. The way the accelerator pedal is set back just right to line up with the brake when it's really pushed, perfect for rolling over onto it. Shame I still can't master that skill though, I'm !Removed! useless at it. Most I can do is a nice little blip of throttle when slowing on down changes lol.
  8. Alright Dave. Was good meeting you on Monday mate, glad to see you on here. Keep meaning to pop onto yours, will do when my broadband is sorted :)
  9. Cheeky !Removed!! I'll have you know I was the 2nd one there when we had that Mc Donald's meet ;) Some of us have to work for a living haha. Yea was a good meet. Got talking to a few new people, everyone was really friendly and had a good laugh. Loads of cars too, very nice ones at that. Plus I got my car booked in for Friday, good night all round. Even had some muppet in a 2l TDi mk V Golf try to race me at traffic lights on way home too lol.
  10. I'll be there. Might be a bit later than 7 though.
  11. I reckon its a Nissan Z or Silvia car.
  12. I'm with Stalker - no not you Gambit, the one with stalker in his name. ;) The STi used to be a proper giant killer sold at a reasonable price. Now it's only as good or slightly better than modern hot hatches and mid spec German saloons. Sure, as Hammond says, the closest rival is still around £3000 more with the Audi. But they used to be able to keep up and beat cars costing 2-3x as much. It's not really changed since the shark eye performance wise now. STi's were performance icons, looking at this and the figures, I just can't see that happening now. :( Hopefully they've sorted the chocolate pistons out this time though.
  13. Too right! At least if you bump it you've only got yourself to blame ;)
  14. Hahaha! Sorry mate but can't help but chuckle. I'd be well !Removed! off though. This is why no one drives my cars lol. Women I've been out with for years haven't been in the drivers seat. Unless they know they'll pay for any !Removed! ups without question, even then I still say no. Should have got a taxi ;)
  15. Gutted for you mate! Glad to hear its starting to come along again now though. At least you'll know exactly what's been done and what's going into it this time.
  16. Definitely getting colder. Waxed it yesterday, love the way the frost and ice has formed :)
  17. Yep, looks like a Evo X :( Oh well, least it's a lot better than the WRX. And I'll never be able to afford it so I'll stick with the older, better looking models thanks haha. Coming to the UK now too and keeping the 2.5l engine by sounds of it. They better have sorted its problems by now or they'll never get out of that hole they dug themselves. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=29210
  18. I'd recommend Sky insurance too. Always been great with me. Also tell them you're on here or sign up to Scoobynet to get a discount.
  19. Absolutely !Removed! lovely mate!! Glad you stuck with a Scoob? Good to hear its got a forged engine too :)
  20. Cheers Stanton! I take it there's no difference with the clusters on RHD and LHD models so would fit if I ordered one from America? How come they were in the way Gambit? I can see it looks a bit in the way in front of the fuel gauge but not too bad.
  21. Think I've changed my mind on the 3 gauge centre pod. Just seen these, best place to have them IMO and never thought about any like this. Only space for 2 but think I can do without oil temp, I never give it the beans until I've been out in it for a while anyway. Or could get a double gauge if really wanted it I guess. Was being sold on Scoobynet for £100 but wasn't quick enough :(. Anyone know where I'd be able to source them? They're 52mm "auto gauge"? With speedo surround pod.
  22. Haha I wasn't actually expecting that first link to send me to buy Indiana Jones. To add insult to injury it wasn't even the blu ray version either!! Thanks for the proper link though, will give it a full read through later.
  23. I'm good for end of this month. Plus I'd like to see Martin actually, my MOT is due by 10th Feb, but my 4th gear rattle problem seems to have returned - although it's a lot more inconsistent and it did go for a while.... Plus it's stated to whine a bit when coasting :( So be good to speak to him before getting it booked in.
  24. I'm with Gambit. I love seeing my big blue bulge while driving around ;)
