  1. Good things come to those who wait tidgy [emoji41] But remember once you do get it back you've got 1k mls of no boost to look forward to as well[emoji55]
  2. That looks like a recirculation valve off a classic v3/v4 impreza
  3. Nice work so far fella [emoji106] Good point with the modine, I just had mine chucked into the engineers hot wash a few times but it was running fine when I pulled it apart [emoji15] [emoji5] Are you giving it a refresh or fitting some upgrades on re assembly ? Best of luck adam and keep us posted bud [emoji106]
  4. Harvey (rip) new his stuff when it comes to headers and upipes . I've heard nothing but positive feedback saying that they lessen spool time . Best get the headers and a upipe that suits your needs . As they'll know what dia upipe will suit your turbo best
  5. I bought one from halfords worked out a reasonable price with the soc discount card [emoji6]
  6. Not quite sure if they do the same style but I was well impressed with the quality and fitment of my p1 replica splitter I bought from them 3yrs ago http://www.htautos.co.uk/?product=subaru-impreza-sti-wrx-bugeye-front-splitter-01-02
  7. Here's a pic of the one by the battery The small bore pipe at the bottom connects to a metal pipe that runs along the top of the rad to the header tank (attached to the inlet manifold) There's a bigger bore pipe at the back of the little expansion bottle that goes to the tank in the inner wing .
  8. Boys never grow up ..... Just their toys get more expensive [emoji5] I hit the big 40 last year [emoji20] But im only as old as the woman I feel ..... Which makes me a fit 36yr old with a boob job [emoji12]
  9. Just the little bottle rick I'm working on the scoob tomorrow I'll take a couple of better pics if you want
  10. Ps4 have the trigger buttons and a touch pad in the middle [emoji41]
  11. Maybe check the plug for corrosion and the insulation is intact on the wiring , as that area does get weathered and is close to the heat from the headers
  12. I'll be picking a copy of this for the ps4 as I've been missing forza since switching consoles and can't even play gran tursimo yet :-(
  13. Try a classic self code check and reset the ecu then see what codes the ecu is giving afterwards, there's a thread on here somewhere with a list of codes.
  14. Watching this thread quite eagerly as I like something a bit different and need a bigger turbo next year [emoji5] Did you say you had a graph of a holset on a 2ltr ? What about getting your block "pinned" not sure about the cost but do know it's supposed to make them more reliable
  15. Hi n welccome Always fancied either a white or grey classic (ended up with 2 silver ones) good luck with the search[emoji106] Working on gearboxes is a bit like witchcraft in my eyes, so i might have to pick your brains at some point[emoji5] Sounds like you know your way around a scoob but there's a buyers guide on here and dont forget the pics once you find one
  16. I don't know 100% if the wrx calipers and discs will fit if the pcd is the same I would've thought so . On the classics when you upgrade from front 2 pots to front 4 pots you have to use 4 pot discs (bigger dia) and pads(different shape)
  17. Happy days [emoji1] nice work fella [emoji106] Tell the mrs milk is much cheaper in Glasgow and get those "miss daisy" running in miles over and done with sharpish [emoji5]
  18. Yeah it's all been mapped in [emoji6] Just thought I'd remove the oe sensor the other day to neaten up the bay a bit ..... Only boosted to actuated pressure (0.5bar) so I refitted it and I'm back to 1.5 bar again . Have a squint at my v1sti build thread on here if you get bored on your lunch break [emoji4]
  19. Yeah I'm running apexi with the separate lead to another uprated map sensor (off a my 98 onwards classic) , but the standard map sensor wiring has to still be plugged in even though the oe map sensor vta [emoji15]
  20. Here's the best pic I've got of the wiring in that area on my v1 Let me know if you need a better pic
  21. Had the opportunity to take the scoob for a drive, only to find out it had a flat battery [emoji35] The Drive Wasn't as much fun in the 1300 cdti workhorse [emoji53] Anybody recommend a battery from the likes of europarts ? so I can pick one up tomorrow on the way home
  22. I decided against high power silver cos if the mrs curbs them again they'll be impossible to touch up but i didn't want just gloss black so settled on polar black instead They look gloss black untill the sun hits them then you can see the flecks of blue, green, red ,gold and silver metalic ,my phone camera doesn't pic it up too well but you can see it a bit Finally changed the one odd green tint uk door glass for the jdm black tinted glass and have now finished with the uk shell so it will be scrapped fairly soon
  23. I think most use 5w 30 Newage and 10w 40 for classics but as you well know it's a big can of worms cos there's loads of opinions on grades . I've always used fully synth in the scoob ,well apart from the mineral millers for the running in period I tried some fuchs pro r fully synth 10w60 in mine last year . It seemed noisier on start up , warmed up quicker (probably due to excessive friction) and raised the warm oil pressure by nearly bar .so i Took it out and went back to the slightly more expensive millers nano drive 10w60 and it's much better ,apparently it's actually more like a 10w50 in thickness it just clings to everything better so it's graded higher I'd stick to whatever grade that your cars used to if you don't have any issues bud . Why are you looking at switching expansion bottle types rick ?
  24. Finally switched the o/s rear green tint uk door glass for the black jdm tint glass in the old rear door on the uk shell . Been putting the job off due to not having a battery on the uk shell ,which meant I had to remove the motor and runners from the old door . Glad it's done now though [emoji4] cos having one green window on the scoob was starting to get on my titts [emoji1] Then gave it a wax this afternoon while the mrs cleaned the interior [emoji15] dunno what she's after [emoji4]
  25. only pic I've got that shows the expansion bottle position on classics You can just see it in front of the battery I can get a better pic a bit later if you want ? maybe if a foz's rad goes some people have been fitting the impreza rad and expansion bottle as they're easier to source or subaru might have changed something on different years that run a different phase inlet set up
