Opinions on colour of my spoiler
savage bulldogs replied to BoofleGem's topic in General Subaru Chat
I'd fit it as is and if you don't like it you can always paint it black at a later date [emoji6] -
Well done stanton[emoji106] your pics make a lot more sense than my ouzo fuelled rambling lol . If the ebay seller said his unequal ones fit , surely you can send them back if they don't[emoji6]

They look fairly equal to me , although I don't know much about na scoobs tbo . The single turbo set up takes a much different route . From Passenger side head , round the front , under crank pulley, meets drivers side head then to upipe/ turbo . So passenger side exhaust gasses have further to travel and therfore hit drivers side gasses causing the burble . Equal length headers on turbo'd scoobs have a longer "scroll" on the drivers side to equal the lengths . I'd imagine someone would or could make unequal headers for na scoobs but , I'm unsure as to who I'm afraid , maybe one of the na boys might know though

Exhaust Question and Quote?
savage bulldogs replied to tom_gr7's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
I used to have a cobra stainless steel sports cat which was great quality apart from the flanges were made from mild steel . im thinking of getting a powerflow cat back made up but, i understand that they're franchise based so quality might vary from branch to branch (unlike cobra based in one place). However I've seen my local powerflow distributors work, on my mates v dub and it's top notch and very quiet for a true 3" system . -
Boost solenoid help
savage bulldogs replied to Nevell's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
Actuated pressure is 0.5 bar [emoji6] and you're probably right about the overboosting being caused by the decat reducing the back pressure . A remap would hold the boost in check ideally , rather than changing pill sizes, as you'll probably have to put it back to standard once mapped . But if you do want to change restrictor sizes mig wire welding tips do the job [emoji6] -
On my classic it's in the same position as gambits bug ,black canister with fuel pipes attached in bottom right corner of this pic

Deleted as greek wifi is rubbish lol

Plug is beneath the alternator /above the crank pulley Only pic I can find with it in is this one Orange'ish plug above the crank pulley

Nice work gem [emoji106] Whole car looks much improved over the first few pics I saw of it a while back . Not that I didn't like it in the first place as it's a unusual colour [emoji41]

I use devils blood (redline shock proof) in my 6 speed but , it cost me nearly £100 . I thought i get it as eventually want to run 400+ hp ,so it might be overkill if you're running 300 ish . I previously used castrol gear oil but , im far to !Removed! to remember the exact thickness , maybe drop tim @opie oils a pm he'll point you in the right direction [emoji6]
-
Apparently it was only running 1.2 bar through the 2 gt35's[emoji6] and It's capable of running 2 bar [emoji33][emoji16][emoji12]

Where to buy parts?? for JDM 96 wrx sti??
savage bulldogs replied to Checkers's topic in General Subaru Chat
Sorry I miss read your original post [emoji39] And thought you were after a bottom rad hose . Any turbo classic rad will fit from your local parts place or you can opt for a ally rad from the likes of japspeed. you'll just have to fit your twin sti fans and then have the pita job of bleeding the coolant system (there's a few threads on here explaining the best way to refill). -

savage bulldogs replied to Checkers's topic in General Subaru Chat
As above or upgrade to samco [emoji6] -
Yeah I spotted that on fb but, we'll have to wait until totb is over to find out what power she's running (as it's top secret ) However I do know it broke Surrey rolling roads power record and is running over 800 hp [emoji4] Best of luck simon

Nice work and write up ash , guess you'll be "just popping out " in the scoob to get the running in done asap [emoji12] Cos running in's a hell of a test on your patience [emoji16] But must be done properly for all the hard earnt and work to pay off [emoji5]

Clutch Disc spline 1993 Scooby 1.6 gl
savage bulldogs replied to Oscar McFly's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
Unsure about most things "sport" related tbo , but turbo clutches have the same ammount of splines from 93 to at least 04 .as the early classic 5 speed clutch will even mate up with a 04plate 6 speed box [emoji6] Have you tried checking if the clutch plate part numbers are the same for both early and late classic sports on a parts suppliers website ? -
2001 bugeye wagon build and modifications.
savage bulldogs replied to LukeandRobbugeye's topic in Subaru Build Threads
I will admit I've read a few comments of similar scenarios with s.c , but as I said before I personally wouldn't know as I haven't delt with them . You could recoup some cash on the ecutek'd ecu by selling it on ,but I'm fairly sure that you can have duel maps with ecutek software anyways. just don't think it does anti lag and launch ,yet again simon's the man to ask [emoji6] I will have a uk(3.5.4 ratio) bug eye sti 6 speed box with matching diff for sale (once we eventually find the time to break my brvs classic sti) Due to being in his early classic it's running the r160 shaft/diff set up so would mate up with your wrx existing hubs /driveshafts . I'm based on the suffolk /essex border but, currently sitting by the pool in corfu [emoji41] I assume that you'll be building the new block first so you can fit the 6 speed to it and drop them in together . So if you're not in a major pannic drop me a pm and when I get back I'll check with my brv for price , timescale for breaking and test drive . All the best clive -
I usually pull the crank sensor plug off (will turn over with the starter motor but , won't fire up) turn it over to get the oil around the engine prior to starting

Groaning Impreza - problem or usual?
savage bulldogs replied to Floyd9t8's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
Does sound more like wheel bearing to me . Try coasting around a corner , as the side with the weight on will sound louder . Also try jacking the car off the ground and checking for play (top to bottom /side to side) on each wheel . -
Groaning Impreza - problem or usual?
savage bulldogs replied to Floyd9t8's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
Do you still get it if you dip the clutch and coast along ? If so it might be a wheel bearing. If it's only while the engine's under load , your accelerating/decelerating in gear , then as stanton said check gearbox and diff oil levels /condition -
2001 bugeye wagon build and modifications.
savage bulldogs replied to LukeandRobbugeye's topic in Subaru Build Threads
I've heard mixed reviews about scooby clinics work and have never delt with them myself tbo. As for their turbos there blouch units , imported from the states and re branded as "s.c turbos" . The average hp for each turbo is in the name of each one of the range . Ie a sc 46 would be 460 hp or more , they're also available with a few optional extras (billet wheels ,ceramic coated hotside ect ) and seem to have very good reviews on most forums. As for the alcertek ecu's I think they're about £1 k to buy and have to be mapped in . Tbo simon would be the best person to advise you in that department imo . Best of luck and keep us updated fellas -
Probably the same question all over and over again...
savage bulldogs replied to Martin959's topic in General Subaru Chat
No I haven't seen it for sale just looked through all of their tdo range and took the most suitable bits and made a list . They do build bespoke turbos or have options that can be added to their range . They're fairly helpful from what I've read , but I've also heard of people being hit with a import tax bill .As with all things imported if their not marked up in your favor [emoji6]
