  1. Savage is by far the best man to speak with :) Sorry Savage nominated you :D Side Skirts I could live with but I guess up close and in the flesh might not look good. But I agree with keeping a splitter P1 style splitters look the nuts in my opinion on classics. I've had wing mirrors like them too very hard to see out of :(
  2. Yeah I know when I was putting in the car pc my sensor or what I believed was it. Was full of fluff and dust.
  3. Yeah I agree with Dino. I've never Done one always just paid for it because I know there a pig to do and with no set of ramps to work under i just don't fancy it. But between. 350 to 400 for a cluth supplied and fitted ftom most place's.
  4. Hello mate welcome to s.o.c Looks like a good project. Doesn't look to bad from the front but not a big fan of the rear bumper.
  5. I've learnt something today. I never knew they didn't come on below a certain temp. [emoji4] and at least ypu know now I guess. [emoji106]
  6. Feel free to post some pictures. [emoji6]
  7. As said above mate thats what it means. 650 sounds like a bargain. And if you have some snow plenty of fun to be had [emoji6] its like sledging for grown ups.
  8. Oh nice well we all like our project thread's on here. We have a section just for the builds and re builds so feel free to start one mate. And I'll pin it so it doesn't get lost in random post's.
  9. Its on a Friday mate we've been offered a club stand but same weekend as japfest don't think enough is going to make the minimum up. I can't remember the date lol 15th of some month [emoji1] I'm on the phone at the minute but its in the events thread.
  10. I'd have thought so certainly need to be able to program the ECU. And if you're like me and don't have a clue about mapping I'd leave it for the professionals. But if you have a laptop and relevant software with a USB cable that connects up you can do it from home. I know a Lawyer in his retirement does it from home for people for £150 a remap. I wouldn't use him though not with my car I'd rather have someone that does it for a living.
  11. ^^^ I like this mans thinking ;) ^^^
  12. Best of luck remember pictures are a must ;)
  13. I believe its in the unit with the temp dials. But not 100% sure.
  14. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C Doesn't matter what it is to us really as long as you're happy with it and it has the right badges. We have a few non turbo owners. Anyway please feel free to jump on the thread's and get to know people everyone's friendly here so no need to worry about posting something wrong. [emoji4]
  15. Yeah I'd like to see some video footage [emoji6]
  16. I should be going if not going to Castle combes. But looking more like I'll be going JGM memorial. You need to look at the events thread more lol :D
  17. Hello mate welcome to S.O.C Nice to have you join have a few good members with a good bit of know how :) So feel free to ask away friendly bunch on here. But looking at your classic looks like you know a bit yourself :) And the wifes car you say is that what you tell her ? ;)
  18. It's an awesome track I love it strangely satisfying to go round, I think with it being so narrow and the hills just gives it that edge over most.

Yeah I didn't mean go for full on treacle :D I use 10W50 in the bugeye and 5W30 in the blobeye so that should be ok as long as it's a good brand. I wouldn't use a Halfords own make I'm sure some people do but for me like most things you get what you pay for. And oil companies spend millions on research I don't think they do that to waste money :)
  20. Yeah be nice to see you both doing Cadwell ;) Yeah I'd say it's just flat battery hopefully severable.

Just get some thicker oil then mate might help just to silents it some more. common thing piston slap even I have it when it's like this in the mornings on cold start :(
  22. Gambit replied to quit's topic in General Subaru Chat
Maybe wrong time of year with it being cold ?
  23. Always nice to get good feedback .
  24. Gambit replied to robhull's topic in General Subaru Chat
Yeah I think its piston slap bit thicker oil sometimes quietens it. Shouldn't worry to much. Well unless it gets worse and all the time. I wont scare you with what that is. Just you tube bigend failure. I'd link it but on my phone at the minute.
  25. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C Shame about the car was it you who crashed it or bought to repair. ?
