In all honesty I don't know but I would have thought the brightness would be set within the new unit as a standard set up with it not having a dimmer

Just a guess but I think the sound would have been piston slap if the oil was that low it might have sounded like a ticking noise as it was smacking around. I'm not sure with the light I could at least try get some more oil in to take it up some more and unplug the battery just to see if you can reset the ECU of any codes. Not sure if it works with the later models. Might need to get a OBDII reader and a phone app to clear any.

I've not changed one myself mate but looks easy enough to do when I was swapping the speakers over.

Hi mate welcome to S.O.C I too can't really help hopefully one of the Legacy owners will know more :) And as Jay said ost cars can always be bought back and will need fixing MOT and a Vic test from Vosa to get back on the road.

Same attitude my guy used he says what's the point I might as well test it and pass it :D

I would say it's your car and your money but I would do it :D It does make the bumps worse some I've driven over really does send shivers down your spine as it rattles every part of your body and car. but the road feel and handling is great. I had strut braces fitted front and back too.

Had the same thing with the blobeye when it was bought had a smashed fog bought one on fleebay it used to niggle me :D but it's on my list to do fog covers for both :)
