  1. Well I'll just shut up then and go get back in my box
  2. Whatever is under the trapdoor will only be alive or dead if you observe it, up to that point it's in superposition so will be all possible outcomes at the same time. It's a quantum effect How to stop a conversation! Maybe that £20 is mine yet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Diesel virus (look it up on Internet) only affects diesels. This is what I was talking about earlier. Not saying you can only get dodgy diesel as I know you can get other problems but the diesel virus only affects diesels and only really from supermarkets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. but you always look a bit of a knob with you're chair smack in front of the telly with a steering wheel on the table :D
  5. never got on with steering wheels, always been much much faster with a controller, you just have to learn how to use it smoothly. when you're going backwards off the track at over 100mph, you're certainly not laughing and having another swig of your bear, at that point its a fight for survival. I remember aquaplaning at Curburough sprint circuit and the car slowly rotating at bout 100mph, not fun. in a video game ploughing into the tire wall is funny I too had to consider repairs as I used to have to drive my car home after racing, usually with a very stinky clutch
  6. the reason you're always faster in a video game is simple, you can't die in a video game so you can push into that corner just a bit more bravely
  7. Go look up Schrödinger's cat, it'll make some sense where the reference comes from. Assuming it doesn't fry your brain first Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah but if you're buying petrol it don't matter, diesel is the problem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Best thing to do is pay the extra 2p s litre at shell, Essie or BP then you don't need to buy any additives as they're already in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Lets never open the trap door then what ever is in there will be alive and dead at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Very understanding of you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I know most of this conversation is about petrol, but can I drop in about diesel as I know there's a few people with diesel subarus. An AA engineer told me he has had to go to several breakdowns involving the diesel virus, with diesel there has to be a percentage if biodiesel I'm all diesel, if there is any moisture in your tank you can get fungal growth that will clog you filters, cause you car to stall and required either a complete stream clean of the fuel system including the tank or drain it and park it for 3 months. The reason Tesco and Asda and all the other cheap fuels are cheaper is allegedly because they don't pay for the cleaners to prevent these fungus growths whereas the mainstream companies do, the fuel is exactly the same it's just the additives that are different. We now only use Shell Diesel but apparently any of the mainstream suppliers are ok (BP esso etc) just stay away from the supermarkets is what I was advised. Anyway I through that out there for anyone interested Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I actually searched for a subaru owners club and found you guys I guess its true what they say "be careful what you wish for!" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Willie rushton used to voice that, god how old are we? Edit. Sorry this was carrying on from the trapdoor thing Sorry Dave Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I told you i was flying. I reckon one car one tune, you build your car and that's the car you race throughout. I'm still thinking that maybe standard cars with just race tires, aero, brakes and gearbox and that's it, all use the same car type. after those races though I think I need some longer lasting tires, mine go off pretty quick, probably cornering at 150+ mph is causing that. certainly was a fight the last half of the 2nd lap on the ring. Oh and Hilli, that TG track lap time is going to have to go!! :P
  16. More likely just some dodgy bloke with no ABS in a legacy. I reckon if we sacrifice a racer each race to stuff Hilli off at the first corner the rest might have a chance of beating him. I did think Hilli was going to catch me toward the end if the last lap but I think he fell off somewhere, my tires had gone so corners were a challenge, but I knew I could hit 170mph on the straight so only had to be near him on the final straight. My car became a bit more point and squirt. If it wasn't for the start i had I think I would have dropped off to about 3rd Even if I was doing 360 spins in the air at the carousel, not sure what Gambit was smoking, I did notice he tried humping Hilli in his car which must have been pretty unpleasant on his first race
  17. I know that feeling, just hanging out for a while longer before taking the plunge, I expect a price drop soon. I'm in that position where the wife wants new carpets and a new sofa and I want a new xbox, sadly I know how this battle will turn out. might have to chase the banks and see if they owe me any PPI, maybe about 500 quids worth? ;)
  18. damn near impossible to manual clutch with a pad, I did try but just stick to MT with auto clutch now.
  19. i'm available, not missing a race on the widowmaker
  20. Dunno, part of me thinks thats just part of the game, on the other hand (having sat 3 laps of Le Mans) I can see where you're coming from. however, with my realist head on, I'm thinking the rules are the rules, even though I know that could be me sat for 20 mins. so I don't think we should turn off the damage, maybe just limited damage?
  21. I'm not into drag myself, but maybe I could get my tranny out. Oh, god, gambit is rubbing off on me. OH GOD that was worse than the first innuendo! Quick, change subject. I should be about on Sunday for a couple of races
  22. @stanton, the transit was just for the crack, someone said I could probably lap quicker in a transit, got me thinking so made an A Class transit. Could do a standard transit see what that turns out, I know that its around 11 mins to get a standard transit around though. If you want to try the A class V8 transit I can put it up only share list. I reckon should just allow dirty laps, there's not much time you can gain, if any but cutting corners. Maybe use standard cars which will Slow it down a bit make it a little less stressful. Perhaps use the impreza hatch for a Change?
  23. strange that because I recall seeing it behind :P
