  1. Hi mate, Welcome to the forum. Love the front end, nice clean model. I've got a 2006 2.0R legacy, so we probably have the same engine. Really solid engine btw, even though its non turbo. I find that I get good MPG using Shell Vpower, so that's certainly worth doing imo. There's a big meet on this Sunday at Lightwater Valley, should come mate. There are details here and here
  2. lol, I was just going to look for all the subaru's... hahha until I go and park up with the wrong owners club! hahah
  3. lol, I'm with One Call Direct, Never heard of them until they offered me 550 for fully comp, business use, 12k miles, protected no claims via moneysupermarket. All the other companies wanted 850 quid and upwards. Although, they are probably cheap for a reason, but like buying from any company, you never know how good they are until you personally experience their support etc etc. For me, Insurance is a buy at the cheapest price and forget about it for a year.
  4. i didn't get one :(
  5. Can you complain to Ebay/paypal bud?
  6. I think most people have dealings with insurance companies once per year, renewal time. Even if this goes smoothly, we still don't have a positive word to say about ins companies as its so damn expensive and a cost most of us could probably do without. Yet when something goes south we are first to complain.
  7. Just looking for car stuff to buy, as I do most days. Looking at Brembo Discs and pads today. Now for some idea they make rear discs for my model but no rear pads. Whats with that? A bit strange eh.

I'm planning on camping for two nights before Japfest. Anyone else interested? Be pretty sweet to get together as a club for a BBQ then convoy to Japfest.
  9. i know what you mean about the speakers, mine are a little naf too. a New set of speakers are on my to do list, although, a bit low down haha.
  10. Sweet, loads of us going :) Can't wait
  11. Me n the missus aint happy bunnies. Went to pick her Astra 1.6 from the garage (the one that !Removed! my steering up) was just a full service, charged her 110 quid. They also said her right rear spring is broken. However, few months ago when they MOT'd the car, they said her rear left spring was broken. At the time, they didn't want to replace both springs and said it wasn't necessary. I tried to argue otherwise but to no avail. Had they replaced both springs in the first place this wouldn't have happened. -.- Tempted to get under the car and physically check and confirm that the spring is actually broken. Edit, got underneath the car. i can see the left rear spring looks newer than the right rear. But the Right Rear which they have said is broken (but not dangerous) looks fine to me. it looks a bit older than the left rear, but i could see no cracks or damage to it and It felt solid to touch. Any ideas? Edit, Does this look broken to anyone?
  12. Thats a sodding fortune! Have you checked the comparison websites? Go compare, moneysupermarket, compare the market, confused, as well as others like directline, AA, LV, RAC. You could also try Kieth Michaels too - Clicky
  13. Had a bit of rain this morning, naturally I didn't miss an opportunity for water beading pics! :D
  14. I'm a mod on another forum (pc's tech related) Often new members first handful of posts have to be "moderated" before they are posted on the forum. So this is what I expect has probably happened.
  15. Do we have a confirmed list of names for those that are in? I'll try and remember my camera to get some snaps of the cars before leave.
  16. IS this not what you are looking for OP. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-WRX-01-06-front-Bucket-Seats-/201043382664?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ecf1e9188

  20. So, looking to get some new speakers for my legacy, I'm not after anything fancy or expensive. just 4 new ones low end ones. - I've got some vouchers that i can use in Halfrauds so might be a relatively cheap upgrade. I looked through my haynes manual and it seems relatively simple to remove/install speakers. Seem to be plug and play. However, does anyone know where i can find the speaker sizes for my model?
  21. sadly, i have to report that my friend Mr Corfate has bought a Vectra. :( I tried boys, i tried to show him the way to Subaru, but it seems he's opted for a an inferior car all together :( and yes I called him a knob lol.
