  1. Only brake noise I've had (excluding a light squeel) was when the pads wearing out so it was metal on metal!!! That was a horrendous grind. I've not had that problem but I've heard others complain. My mate changed his Skyline brakes for race spec and he said biggest mistake he's made, took forever to warm up when driving on the street and were pretty ineffective until they had warmed!
  2. Sounds like bearings to me mate. Jack up that side of the car to take the weight off the wheel and see if it has play by wiggling the wheel from side to side.
  3. Didn't think if that...I'll get the Mrs to drink some to see if it loosens her up :d
  4. Nice :) Get your pics out for the boys :P

  6. Got app offers but no vouchers
  7. Ah I see :) I've got mine already...was a no brainer really for me with all the discounts + I wanted to support a great helpful community [emoji3]
  8. What's the importance of doing it before 9am Friday Steve?
  9. Thanks mate. So may as well flex that Halfords discount card [emoji16]
  10. I agree with Tom. I saw quite a few cars being sold by the trade with a £2.5k mark up with full service history....when I checked the paper work they only had 6 services in 10 years...."but it's full service history to mileage not age" I heard them cry.
  11. Yea, the guy who did it was saying Jap cars are so much better at A/C than others. He was saying he has to turn down his wife's AC as it literally freezes him but his own Audi just cools at max setting. Have you got a link to the fleabay thing please? I did search and couldn't find anything cheaper than £38 with gauge. Not that I need to do it now but I do like to have a good fiddle...if you know what I mean.
  12. Whoops not read your latest post :) They do seem to be big scoob dealers...I did see good and bad reviews when I was investigating them. Me personally, if I'm buying a second hand car I treat 2nd hand car salesmen the same as private sales. The service doesn't generally warrant some of the crazy mark up. Make sure you check over the car properly regardless of who you buy from.
  13. My view.... Go for the 04 The Hawk looks like a Seat from the front and unless you get a pre May one tax is £500 [emoji90] then all the engine worries.
  14. yes i did. tbh theres not much to it so could have done it myself but its cheaper if they do it and also less flaff...you don't need to buy the gauge if they do it and also no need to put a deposit down on the a/c can (legal requirement). I was in and out within 15 mins
  15. Stunning looker there Cusco, very nice [emoji3]
  16. So total £29.73 with a funnel set as well...Stop me spilling water/screen wash all other the place :d the coupon was the SOC discount. The guy manually calculated it and typed it in and then scanned the card
  17. That was an option...think it's another £10 for that but I've got no strange smells so didn't bother.
  18. It was just a normal Halfords
  19. Went to Halfords with my discount card...got an A/C recharge for £25...just realised they didn't charge me for doing it! Receipt says 'price override managers discretion' Chuffed to bits considering I was going to book it in to a local garage for £60 (they put me off when they said I'd have to leave car with them the whole day...wtf)
  20. Can I have a far away shot please :d
  21. Felt just like school....let the nerds do all the hard work then copy them ;) If it's as good as they are making out (lasts 8 months)...then I don't think I'll be waxing ever again. Word of warning...some of the nerds were saying its a little trickier to apply to black cars. They were talking about watering it down for black. On my silver car I can't see any smearing at all...car looks as close to a mirror as it's going to get!
  22. Not too bad mate. It is about £6 for a 100ml bottle. It does the whole car, glass, plastic, paint. It has a light mist sprayer. I did the whole car and probably got enough for 2-3 more goes. All started when someone recommended their black trim restorer (the black trim on my scoob and Honda were almost grey). The restorer was obscenely expensive but was very good: blacktrimrestorer I didn't spend £6 on the bottle I got this £40 set. I used a few of the bits in the pack and it was all very impressive :) http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/gtechniq/essentials-kit.aspx P.S. My car pics are from my Iphone5...so not the best
  23. After reading a nerdy Detailing forum I decided to buy some Gtechniq C2 v3 Liquid Crystal on their recommendation. So this afternoon I cleaned and coated my Scoob. It was incredibly quick and easy to apply (much easier than wax to apply) I'm pleased with the result. It's produced an ultra smooth shiny surface. Supposed to repel dirt etc, . It's supposed to last about 8 months! So I'll see how it performs... Hopefully this link shows pics of the car and not of the ahum mrs :D https://www.dropbox.com/sc/4ih3she9esoexa5/AADzOSOQlaLmjHd-xn1eKxuQa
