This is giving me nightmares from when a primer paint aerosol burst in my boot, nitromors for the hard plastic and foam lifter/stiff plastic brush or wire bursh to get it off the carpet

where's the snow at, I'm there!

I have no doubt they will take some tinkering and some trial and error till the car sits right on them and be happy with the setup and alignment on them but that's the fun in it for me and part of the learning process :)
-
Getting a set of these and will be fitting them in may alongside other bits I have waiting - excited
-
Thanks it's an on going project with a long list to complete :D
-
I'll try see if can spot any leaks before I strip it all off :)
-
a fabricator could adjust an existing backbox to be like that for a lot less than a new one would cost I would think

Ordered a 3" bore Cobra exhaust with a 4" tip from reading good feedback about them and already got a 3" bore de-cat down pipe that will match up with it but still need to order either cobras 200cell cat downpipe or a 100cell cat downpipe from japspeed for mot as currently got the original exhaust system on with an aftermarket backbox welded on but been thrown an engine code recently 'catalyst efficiency below threshold' so either one of the sensors is dead or the cat is - either way I had a new exhaust on the cards for the summer anyway.

Fitted a pair of twisted side skirts this afternoon followed by a set of carbon canards in the dark which I measured up the mount points for during the day, operation success followed by a few service parts tomorrow and ordering a new cobra sport exhaust for my birthday next week Will get some better pictures during the day once it's had a clean

Looking good so far, nice and clean :)
-
ordered a few more goodies to fit before spring comes :)

You will definitely achieve better results and make more out of the map by putting a high flow sports cat down pipe on, the car itself will create a bit of a louder exhaust note with the lesser restriction from the cat. I wouldn't say you'd be ruining anything, spool up time on the turbo will be a bit faster. Bellmouth is the common way to go unless you have a jdm twinscroll setup. As for cat placement the closer it is to the turbo the hotter it will get and better it will work at reducing emissions. The negative for that is it does take away a small amount of power and the further the cat is away from the turbo the better from a power standpoint. Most people with good high flow cats at or near the stock location get the best of both worlds but depends what you value more the environment or having extra fun in your car

Yeah hydro dipped, thanks :) yours is looking nice and clean!

I had it hydro dipped it along with the belt cover and fuse box then doing the panel filter air box next

Yeah I have a few bits like that bookmarked from that site from a while ago but they certainly aren't cheap! Got performance bits that are prioritised over them at the moment :P I worked it out at roughly £160 for the silver dials and black centres and you may have customs charges on top of that too! Decided to stick with the £15 option that I took for now
