  1. I fitted new rear discs, ebc red stuff pads and a full handbrake shoe kit, the old pads and discs have seen much better days then went for an early mot and she passed with no advisories :) now the fun begins starting fitting my big mod upgrade on monday
  2. A step backwards is sometimes a step forwards :) with it being 55 plate you get some of the hawk goodies on the blob too like the updated interior etc.
  3. If your willing to put the elbow grease in pre-prepping them with sanding and filling in any scratches or curb rash etc. then a good job can be done :)
  4. I bought rear discs to fit this friday from icp which were branded solidace along with a new shoe kit and ebc red stuff pads as couldn't justify splashing out lots when I plan to do a big brake upgrade later down the line, will report back if they perform ok or not https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=1417&cat=96&sub=183&sec=277&var=27&dc=0&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart=
  5. It's a full length one piece so you would need a 3" bore mid section and back box to match up to it. Either that or I will have my full 2.5" cat system with a 3.5" backbox which has a nice tone to it available. I'm working on the suspension and handling on mine after the mapping is done, I would only be concerned about mapping the ej25 if you are planning on doing a lot of track days where you would be pushing the car a lot harder for sustained amounts of time.
  6. He does do group discounts on group mapping days, ask him how many cars he requires haha I assume at least 5-10 for a reduction in price haha my map day is the 29th may. Also I might have a 3" bore heat wrapped decat down pipe for you if your still after one depending on whether I decide to opt for that or a sports cat dp as not made my mind up yet. I'm taking my car for mot end of this week then taking it off the road to start on my large service/mod fitting
  7. Ordered a nice baffled catch can setup the same as rcm's with 3 ports and a breather but at less than half the price and opted to blank off the return to sump/use as oil drainer plug as would only want return to sump if it was a regular track car
  8. I just bought a new rcm pump for my build, not worth the risk imo too unless there is proof that it is relatively new, I'd question why it's being sold if it's only 500miles old
  9. Few more shiny bits added to the bay and took a few pics this afternoon after giving it a wash yesterday with autoglym shampoo, claybar, autoglym super resin polish then finished it with meguiars ultimate wax Spec-R washer bottle Fuel cap Dip stick Battery cover Perrin brake overflow cosy Will be stripping down the Spec-R washer bottle and the strut base rings to repaint in candy red when I get time
  10. 1-2 months depending on what time of year it is as he tends to get busier through the summer His website is up to date with his prices yes
  11. Been preparing to do mine with wet and dry from 800 grit through to 3000 then going to seal them with a clear coat
  12. Spent hours giving her a full wash, clay bar, polish and wax with autoglym and meguiars products not even going to japfest she is looking very shiny and well however
  13. No just put your wheel on full lock which gives enough room to get at all the wheel arch liner screws to get that out the way to get at the resonator
  14. I fitted a new nsf on mine two years ago wasn't too bad, the old one was shot and sounded horrendous! Was embarrassing squeaking around everywhere, it was intermittent sometimes too so was misleading at first.
  15. you don't need to take the wheel off to get the intake resonator off :)
  16. I narrowed my choice down to Andy Forrest and Roger Clark Motorsports and ended up choosing Andy Forrest as his website information and responses have been helpful for me
  17. well known mappers who have a good name and well proven results on road and in competition, it will always be down to personal preference and opinion on who's best or who to recommend so I won't start a debate on who I think is best etc. A good mapper makes a bespoke map catered for you and your car which may not always be about max hp so the 'best' could be split into more than one category but in general I would put the best handful down to well known names who have a high profile name in the subaru world that you rarely see any negative news about.
  18. I been quoted less than £500 from one the best :) those 1k of mods are not all needed to still get a good remap with worth while gains :)
  19. Got a reply from Andy Forest to go get my car mapped by him after I do my big parts fitment day in late may
  20. You can turn that off relocating one of the the wires on the connectors
  21. the sti clusters cost an arm and a leg for what they are
  22. Anyone on here a pc gamer and like online shooter games like counter strike, battlefield, arma2/3/dayz, heroes and genereals ww2, garrysmod, borderlands series etc. Add me on steam :D http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198056500231/
  23. Looking good, nice and neat :) I have five gauges too on my blob but eager to put in two more behind the wheel for exhaust temp and fuel pressure
  24. import car parts and icp parts are way to go for new or you can easily get a switch in perfectly good condition from many breakers... there's a handful of them on scoobynet advertising loads of parts on full cars for breaking daily
