  1. They ditched the cat in the up-pipe for the 2.5's
  2. I think the bigger the spacer the worse it is... don't think a 5mm spacer will do too much if anything, as long as it's a quality one
  3. Welcome to the club! What's been done to achieve that power?
  4. When I got my WRX mapped it made 210hp at the wheels and the injectors were maxed out... The dyno never gave me an estimated flywheel hp
  5. Especially since he mentions that the mapper has had a few more hp out of a TD04 before...
  6. So apparently this mapper can get TD04's over 300BHP. Generous dyno giving an exaggerated flywheel figure?
  7. I think the VF34 is quite a common choice and seem to get 300+ quite easily. You could go for a TD05 but they are pretty old now...
  8. I would say it's worth it, the TD04 is quite small which is great for spool time but runs out of puff at around 270ish. Bigger turbo and injectors is a good next step, might want to grab an STI top mount intercooler as well (or front mount if you want to go all in). Bigger turbo should see you over 300bhp, the limiting factor then becomes your gearbox as the 5 speed becomes a ticking time bomb over 350
  9. Isn't it quite common for these turbos to have a small crack next to the exit on the hot side?
  10. Yeah drop links are a common thing to cause knocking. Either by being loose or just knackered, cheap and easy to replace. Your braking issue won't be linked, what sort of issue are you having?
  11. Ouch! Fingers crossed it's OK... Happy Birthday! 🤗
  12. Or a sticky actuator
  13. True... but still better than an AMG V8! They do sound amazing...
  14. A C63? RIP rear tyres and monthly fuel budget XD
  15. Sell it for what? I think it's a great looking car... and let's be honest, regardless of what you would replace it with, the engine would get ripped out and worked on regardless!
  16. This weekend?? Wow that is fast... looks good chap!
  17. I'm amazed it took you this long to get the engine worked on!
  18. Check the intake for any boost leaks
  19. Does your current exhaust have a resonator? I would go for a small back box and a small-ish resonator.
  20. I would say it's a better investment. Last thing you want to do is buy a fully atmos one and your car doesn't like it. This is the one I used: http://www.scoobyparts.com/performance/gfb-tuning-products/gfb-respons-tms-bov-impreza-wrx-08-on
  21. I used an adjustable one and it was fine (ran around 75% vent), changed to 100% when i got it remapped. If you go full vent, you could be fine... or it could be a bit lumpy. Engine wise? Debateable... i don't think it does, all it does is very briefly run rich so you may get an extra loud pop every now and again
  22. Only thing it does is increase the noise... can potentially cause lumpiness if you go full vent to atmosphere as you're releasing air that has been measured so it over fuels very briefly.
  23. What you're hearing is the recirc valve recirculating pressurised air back into the intake, which is normal. You hear a lot of noise from an induction kit as the standard airbox with resonator kills a lot of intake and recirc noise.
  24. Great stuff! The last thing they want to do is **** off a whole communities worth of customers!!
