  1. Pretty sure if it's from a Hawk it should fit. Unsure if the hatch onwards are the same downpipe, probably are but can't 100% confirm
  2. Rocker cover gaskets would be worth changing as they are easy to do if the engine is out
  3. This. You may get the odd pop out of the exhaust due to the extra fuel
  4. An engine rebuild might be a bit overkill as the 2l are relatively bullet proof. If you feel it's down on power, smoke test for boost leaks then maybe a dyno session to see what it's producing and possible diagnosis
  5. A remapped TD04 (which is currently has) maxes out around 270, if you went bigger you would need to go bigger injectors as well. Probably a like for like swap would be ideal. But a dyno session would be able to see if you have any issues, may just be a small boost leak. Can get a garage to do a smoke test to look for any intake leaks
  6. Peak torque at 6.5k revs?!? Ooooooft
  7. Hybrid one would still be best as your car has been mapped with the standard recirc, so still potential for full VTA to give you minor issues
  8. I use this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Recorder-Resistance-170°Wide-Recording-Detection/dp/B01F5C950I/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1517471668&sr=8-8&keywords=apeman In terms of location, as long as it's high up on the windscreen and in an area where the wipers reach, should be fine
  9. If you have no intention of getting a remap, get a hybrid one. These are adjustable between full recirc or full atmos and anything inbetween. So you can vent some air to get the noise, and recirc enough to keep your engine happy. http://www.scoobyparts.com/performance/gfb-tuning-products/gfb-respons-tms-bov I ran this one for a while before eventually getting remap, had it mostly vent but a small amount recirc to prevent lumpy gear changes. win win
  10. Got to drive my old car last night as my mate who bought it off me is having a couple of issues (he's going to create his own post) Forgot how bloomin' fast it was...
  11. I would def have a look at the top where the fuel pump is taken out (will have to remove the back seats etc) and see if there is any obvious signs of a leak. May just be an old line that has split slightly
  12. I had the rear drivers side bearing replaced last year at HQ Garage in dalgety bay... pretty sure I was charged around £130 labour and 60 ish for the part
  13. Air box resonator. Helps to quiet down intake noise
  14. Upper hole is max, cut out is max when hot i think
  15. Pretty sure they have to be marked, also the cameras don't work through glass
  16. Might want to check your rocker covers for oil leaks, they are known to leak after a while. Especially drivers side because the exhaust is close to it. Have a look under the engine on both sides for any oil
  17. Good coat of hard wax, underseal and you're set
  18. Yes it would... @savage bulldogs has a Cobra system and I think he rates it high
  19. I had an afterburner vortex back box and a non-resonated centre section... people certainly knew when I was in the area! If you want to spend as little as possible might be an idea to go 2nd hand...
  20. Sandals replied to RKF's topic in General Subaru Chat
Think BH5 is the chassis code... Since it's a 2l I'm guessing it will be an EJ non turbo engine, not exactly a gutsy engine in NA form. Might be a good idea to check the condition of the air filter
  21. Welcome to the club!
  22. Good work
  23. @savage bulldogs is the man to speak to about engine removal :D
