Hi all
Welcome to the club! What mods does it have to be running that amount of power?

Hi Folks
Welcome to the club!

Slightly jerky acceleration at lower revs
Unfortunately not since you have to remove the airbox and battery for access... so around an hour

Slightly jerky acceleration at lower revs
Ah ok, plugs would be a reasonably easy thing to check/replace if you're handy with a spanner

I would put some redex through a full tank of fuel. Only about a fiver gets you two doses. Should clear any crap in your fuel lines and injectors. Probably the easiest thing to try first...

Holy MPG Batman!!
Might be onto a personal record. Drove like a granny to my in-laws and back (around 130 mile round trip)... mainly motorway. Currently just above half a tank and have covered 203 miles! Gonna keep driving like a wuss and see what i can get :D

1998 Impreza Turbo
Welcome to the club! Has it been turned over every now and again? I would expect a lot of rubber hoses to be dried and brittle so double check all of them, battery will no doubt need to be replaced. Would change all fluids along with the timing belt and water pump to ensure everything is fresh.

Welcome back!

Newbie in the market
65k is still very low mileage... the 2 litre (if well maintained) tend to run for a long time. Few folk on here who are part of the 150k+ club and still going strong! The 2.5 however is the one to be wary of, some people have no issues, others either have HG failures or ringland issues. Doesn't seem to be a specific mileage either...

Dump Valves

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Turns out one of the bearing seals wasn't sitting right, so an easy enough fix for them... the mechanic did unfortunately drop a socket and chipped my wheel. Thankfully there are defects in the paint from the original refurb, so they are all getting done again for free anyway... Said I would be happy with knocking 60 quid off my bill! You can see next to the chip the defects I'm talking about...

Wonder if they've bent something slightly while taking it apart? Not sure... not costing me any extra so as long as it's fixed today I'll be happy!

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Well, got a call at 4:45 to say that my car was almost ready, they were just putting it all back together after pressing in the new bearing. Then got another call at 5:20 saying that for some reason the wheel is locked and won't turn! They are going to have to take it apart again and see what's going on... they reckon it's a defective bearing, or he's put it back together wrong (but I doubt they would admit to that!) They did put my car in their usual social media images tho :D

Wrx STi brakes
wait... forgot, use 5.1. 5 and 4 can't be mixed... so any leftover fluid in your lines will mix, don't think that would be the best idea

Wrx STi brakes
You may as well go balls deep... no benefit with staying with dot4

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Can't remember what my garage used... think it was dot5, difficult to tell if i could notice the difference as all my brake stuff was done at once, i would imagine the braided lines were what made the biggest difference

I've got the exact same discs... got them off ebay, came with brembo pads. Really good... I would recommend uprated brake lines if you haven't done them already
