  1. If you buy a full system for a classic (Turbo back) then yes it will fit on your car... but if you try and mix and match parts, it won't... they have different lengths downpipes and centre pipes... altho the total lengthof all the parts is pretty much the same. And yeh, that decat cat-pipe i sold you is standard 2.5"... therefore a straight swap
  2. Ah the H6 lump... yeh heard it's a really good engine. Was it a private sale? If it wasn't, I would be speaking to whoever sold you it... Since it's not a unique engine, it could be possible that gearboxes from other models would be a straight swap
  3. I take it no warning lights? Maybe some gunk in the fuel... sounds very similar to what happened to my brother, was water in the fuel... maybe fill up your tank and fire some redex through and see if that helps? Certainly is the cheapest thing to try :D
  4. PC gaming and cars are my two main hobbies... don't play a lot of online games, altho just started playing Ark with my boss XD
  5. Welcome to the club! A JDM Hawk with the forged 2l... winner :D
  6. Easy tiger... :D
  7. 2nd ICP... I use their ebay shop for lots of genuine bits and bobs and they are considerably cheaper than Subaru. Other option is to speak to breakers...
  8. Probably why a lot of newer cars gear changes are so effortless... makes you wonder what the gearstick is even connected to! At least with the scoob it all feels very solid, mechanical and therefore MANLY
  9. Replaced the battery in my keyfob... I can now unlock my car from more than 1 foot away from it XD
  10. Found this: "Basically each type of synchronizer says the number of frictional faces used for synchronization. In case of single cone only one friction face is available for entire shift cycle. But in case of double and triple multiple friction surfaces are working together hence the effort to shift gear will gradually reduce." https://www.quora.com/Why-does-1st-and-2nd-gear-need-double-synchro-cone
  11. Seem to be identical when I found this chart, apart from your new one has the below... whatever that is... Double-cone 2nd synchro added (all turbo Impreza), http://www.gearhack.com/myink/ViewPage.php?file=docs/Subaru Transmission Chart
  12. Nice wee Brucey Bonus
  13. Ouch... I do like Evo's, but they are just too expensive for what they are...
  14. Oh wow! Didn't even know that was a thing! Were they made to compete with the 3000GT or the 300zx? What engine is in it?
  15. Very nice :D
  16. I use a USB memory card reader... plug that into your computer and you can access the files directly on the memory card I use this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301705796531?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Assuming the card in your dashcam is micro SD, that should work
  17. @stants ahem...
  18. A 2005 with only 30k miles?? That's crazy!
  19. Any signs of leaky shocks?
  20. Maybe knackered steering rack bushes?
  21. The downpipe cat must get mapped if you remove it... other cats aren't as important but you won't see the benefits without a map. You will only get a CEL if you start removing the o2 sensors or the temperature sensor in the up-pipe. The temp sensor can be removed and you can put a resistor in the plug to remove the CEL
  22. If you get a replacement cat pipe with a hole for the o2 sensor you won't get a CEL... that's what I did as it was the first cat in my car to go
  23. No problem mate! The up-pipe is def worth doing... albeit, a complete ball ache to replace. Not to worry you but if the cat in the up-pipe fails... bye bye turbo!
  24. I use this stuff on my black plastic bits and it makes it look brilliant! Maybe worth a punt? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Auto-Glym-Bumper-Trim-325ml/dp/B000MSU28U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492774909&sr=8-1&keywords=autoglym+plastic
