  1. Nur spec are loud! And very nice sounding.@Gambit has a video of his travelling down some lanes. Sounds beautiful.
  2. Not a problem. One thing you'll find is we love telling you all this. UK's are more prone to tin worm due to a full life on salty roads. Imports aren't immune and it depends on its time spent over here. For me I did the "simple" mods. Went for an rcm fuel pump to insure constant reliable pressure. 3" turbo back zorst with decat downpipe. Cosworth panel filter and 3 port boost solenoid(imports have these anyway) UK's use the smaller TD04 turbo so with all that I then went to have it mapped and made 276hp/280ft-lb. I've just started to work on suspension so did rear 22mm whiteline arb, ally drop links all round, poly bush on rear arb and I have some hks coilovers waiting to go on with front and rear upper strut braces. That's all for now I think [emoji23] [emoji6] Imports have the larger TD05 turbo and make 270ish hp standard. If you were to do the same mods and then map it the TD05 should give you 320hp. After that it's new turbo, consider fmic, injectors. General consensus is the 5 speed gearbox is only capable of 350hp before breaking. I lose my chain of thought sometimes. Probably missed a few bits 😁😨
  3. Thru are a better starting point if you want higher power. Don't be too put off by mileage. I'm on 170k+ miles. I have a UK classic.
  4. Welcome to the club! Do you know if it's an import or UK model?
  5. What I'm trying to say is it should fail the emissions test of the mot if it has a decat. So how did it pass? We all have friendly testers and I wouldn't trust an mot anymore than I'd leave Rolf Harris with my kid.
  6. To add, if that has a decat and 12 months mot it may be worth asking how it passed 😋 May have hidden advisories.
  7. If you're na the drop in back pressure from a straight zorst will hurt your torque figures. N/A need back pressure.
  8. General rule of thumb is 350hp on a 5 speed box. Torque is more of the killer. Closer you get to it the higher chance of a break but that's not to say it won't break before hand or even outlast others at lower power.
  9. If it's full hub including bearing it's all nuts and bolts. Quite straight forward. If you're changing bearings they need to be pressed.
  10. The 2.5's get stung hard on tax.
  11. Go for 7B. I'm mapped to the same as you and was advised 7 would be better.
  12. I'm based in the south east so I'm afraid I can't help with the mot up there.
  13. Where are you located? You'd need to ask around for "friendly" testers.
  14. I kept my cat for this reason.
  15. 7b are slightly colder and better suited to higher boost and modified cars.
  16. NGK laser platinum PFR6B or 7B
  17. If you're only putting it on briefly for mot then I'd think the car will be fine. One issue you may have is if it was mapped for the decat the fuelling will have changed and fitting a cat may still fail emissions.
  18. Sounds like a good low mileage example. If the cambelt hasn't been done due to the low mileage I'd put that on a list of bits to sort first. GX are pretty sound.
  19. If the overflow is being forced out it's being pressurised. If it is head gasket most common way for Subaru to go seems to be exhaust gases entering cooling system. Did you have it sniff tested?
  20. What turbo is on it?
  21. What's in the project folder so far?
  22. Looks nice. Welcome to the club.
  23. I'm a bit late to the party but I'm booked up. Bit of luck but also a shame the novice track time is sold out.
