Check engine light
No. It hasn't came on for a while but it was more prone to come on at cold start through the winter. It came on roughly 4 times over winter months. Stays on for 2-3 seconds then goes off. Don't risk it, the biscuits are usually quite stale anyway 😖😏

Risk it for a biscuit.

Help Check Guide Buying 1st Subaru
These shape. There are many variations so some do look slightly different. Any impreza pre 2000 is a classic.

Ultimate Fuel is it worht using or not.
I'm not so sure on the diesel but petrol is a must have for turbo engines. The higher octane makes the fuel more stable under high compression and higher levels of heat. If you use a lower octane fuel you may find the engine gets detonation in the chambers and the ecu will !Removed! the timing at the expense of a little power. We can't even use RE-tard without being censored 😖 not cool.

Vibration
Have you had the balancing checked? It's usually a high speed vibration issue but because it comes in at a certain speed and ends consistently it usually means one or both wheels has lost some balance weights.

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Replaced the top rad hose as it had split inside and developed a pinhole leak.

ARBs r they worth it
Pick up some polybushes and ally drop links to gain the full benefit of the bar. Even better if you can get new rarb mounts.
-
ARBs r they worth it
Rear bar is definitely worth doing. Keeps the back end a lot flatter. Stops the outside rear dropping so much and prevents the front opposite lift up.

Do you have much experience with scoobyclinic? They have a reputation for "creating" work. Good figures none the less. Any other plans for mods?

I paid £1350 for mine December 2014. Mileage was high (158k). I've had no major issues or headaches.

best economy for gaining horses??
If you want 350 expect to spend a good chunk of cash. To achieve that you'll need a bigger turbo, decat exhaust, new intercooler, fuel pump, possibly injectors(unsure for your model), remap. 350hp is also considered the limit of a 5 speed gearbox before it goes pop. Internals may also start to struggle if it's all still standard. With all that power you're gonna need to stop quicker and get round the corners so consider brakes and handling mods alongside. Starting out on a standard car it's easy to get reasonable gains in power per pound but the higher you go the less hp/£. Someone with better knowledge of your model may pop along and offer better advice than I can.

Air filter
As hooded said. Good panel filter is all that's needed. Avoid any that have oil in them as it messes up the maf over time. A lot of guys use cosworth panel filters.
-
What have you done to your Subaru today ?
New cosworth panel filter and new pfr7b plugs. Finished up and fired it up and ran like !Removed!. Muppet here forgot to plug the maf back in. Plugs looked quite well for a year/10K miles use.

UK2000/WRX Exhaust
Best to check the flanges then. Rear box will be fine but it depends what connections both you and the new zorst have at downpipe to centre. If it was also a fill system including downpipe on the sellers car it may be a different length if you're still using the standard downpipe. Lots of variables but rarely much difference.

UK2000/WRX Exhaust
Which section of exhaust. Main issue you will find is between the downpipe and centre pipe. Some are doughnut gasket and some are flat gasket joins.
