Overheating problem
If you opened it when the coolant was hot it will spit at you anyway. A sniff test will check for hydro carbon which is a sign of exhaust gases entering the coolant system.

Overheating problem
Get a sniff test carried out by a garage.

Oil pressure increase
It could be down to temperature. 10℃ lower makes my pressie 1.0bar(14psi) higher.

It was book a slot individually. All spots seem gone now. Will still be exciting to watch.

2007 Impreza RX header type?
06 onwards use a 2.5 engine. I'm not sure if they have a slightly different layout on the exhaust mount.

I paid 350 for a pre loved set of hks coilovers.

Problematic 98 wagon
Have you done a self code check aswell as the plug in diagnostics the garage have done? Sounds a bit strange with a dump peddle. Could it be a sticky cable or butterfly? When you take the battery off and works fine for a while does make it sound electrical though. Throttle position sensor?

I think the map a decat rule is to correct the fueling which isn't always noticeable. Also can get overboost, again not always noticeable if it doesn't hit the limit but will effect fueling again. Got a friend with a classic and decat with no issues and no map either. Car looks lovely. It's a tough life owning a scoob and not modding it. Not sure how some owners manage it.

Oil consumption
I'm on 170k+ and don't use oil.

boost problems
Indeed road test should be compulsory but there's not many places I'd trust to take my car on a joy ride.

330s project stealth
That is beautiful.

I guess it's a downfall of dyno mapping. I'd only get it 110+ in 4th so right up high in the rev range like yourself Geoff.

boost problems
Ok so your getting exactly what I have at the moment on the secondary, just fuel cut like a brick wall lol? You getting it adjusted or just living with it? Yeah it was like someone slammed brakes on. No, I contacted Dunc straight away and he came to my house to tweak the map. He increased my limit. I can hit 1.4bar in the top gears still it just doesn't cut anymore. Can't fault Duncan with the after care. Was with me within two weeks.

boost problems
Mine was due to hitting the limit. Wouldn't spike. Target was 1.3 I hit the limit 1.4bar.
-
boost problems
Mine only boost cut in 4th and 5th after being mapped.

Oil consumption
The pcv operates the breather system. It either goes to the intake or throttle body but I doubt you will lose oil through it. Not the amount you are saying. It should only carry vapors.

boost problems
How much does it fluctuate by?

Dipping interior mirror
My spoiler seems at a perfect height to block dazzling headlights. I also use it as a tailgating sign. If I see the lights between the boot lid and spoiler at national speeds then they're too close.

subaru impreza 2.0 turbo
6 speed gearboxes are the way to go. If it isn't already 6 speed it's a costly conversion. You need box, rear diff, proper, driveshafts and hubs. You'll find a lot of impreza parts are interchangeable. Classics are a dark art due to the amount of variations. There are 6 UK "versions" but I think I see a post counting 280+ different types of impreza from early classic to latest newage.
