  1. He is notoriously hard to get hold of. Contact him in every way and he'll see it soon hopefully.
  2. Welcome to the club! Nice to see another good looking classic.
  3. Yes he is. Have you called and left a voicemail?
  4. Flat four burble. Can't beat it.
  5. Mine is 5mph out at 70. My dash cam measures speed and states I'm doing 65. Also on standard size wheels. I think it's a manufacturer safety cushion.
  6. Does it sound like a twang too? A clunk is usually a bush giving up.
  7. Did you use any copper grease on the pads? Not the braking surface. That should stop the squealing as dust gets between back of the pad and caliper.
  8. I get the same. Does make you question if the level is slightly low or high. Stants, I've given up with checking the level on the box. If the stick has oil on it that's good enough. 😂
  9. Sounds lovely! Welcome to the club.
  10. Just be careful who you let drive your car. As tidgy says make sure they've got insurance and that it covers any damage that could be caused by an impromptu joy ride. Duncan mapped my car and I'd gladly let him map it again. I had a slight issue with the boost limit causing boost cut but Duncan came to my house to sort it within a couple of weeks. Can't fault his customer care and aftersales support. He'll listen to anything you've got to say without you feeling like he has better things to do. Don't have to mortgage your house to have the work done either. Each person is a valued customer no matter amount spent. Hope this helps 😁😁
  11. Leak is definitely front input shaft. It's already had new seals. No noises. No rattles. All gears are fine. Apart from the leak you'd never know it had a problem. It's def box oil as the smell is obvious. original seal replacement job. clear signs of leak. Strangely it hasn't effected the clutch. I've never had it slip and I only lose/use oil when giving it some. I'd say it leaks 500ml/6 months. Maybe less.
  12. Welcome to the club. Plenty of shows coming up. Nice collection you've had so far.
  13. Clutch itself is fine. No issues with it so chances are the fly is fine but while it's off I want all work done.
  14. Yeah we had a little play with dampness but I had lost interest. It was too low anyway. Needed the car ready and drive able today which with coils on it just wasn't. picture showing rear before front was done. Quite a drop.
  15. Spent the best part of 12 hours fitting coilovers and then putting oe back on 😬😬😬 ride was way too low and bouncy as hell. Don't have the patience to fiddle anymore so they're gonna be going up on eBay and here. Today I have learnt that coilovers are not for me. We learn by our mistakes and Atleast this only cost me a day rather than £100+
  16. Depends where the blow is. Anywhere near the engine and no amount off gungum is gonna hold the pressure. Wrap it, let it set and. Poodle around the emission test is only up to 3500rpm so should get through the mot.
  17. Ah I'll have a chat with a few places see what they recommend.
  18. Just want to add and make clear, I'm organising this for the Sunday. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  19. Toddington is a good service to meet. We used it for japshow last year. A few ideas I had for stop offs would be pease pottage for those south of me. Somewhere before the dartford tunnel for an obligatory tunnel run. Bluewater is an option but car park are quite confusing. Then we could stop at toddington as a last stop before silver stone. Each stop will be 10-15 minutes so need to factor that in to travel time. It's a rough 2hr journey from the crossing and an hour to toddington. I'm gonna offer up a time if 6am for the dartford crossing meet. Would mean 7:15 at toddington and arrive roughly 8:30 at silverstone. If any will be at pease pottage they'd need to leave at 5:15. All of these are still ideas but the more we get the quicker we can get it set in stone 😄 Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  20. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/18267-South-east-convoy-to-japfest! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  21. As a lot of us are travelling up to this, it's gonna be an awesome show. I'm suggesting we stage a few meet points along the way and end up with a nice convoy coming into silverstone. If we can start with where you are and what day you're going to japfest eventually we will end up with meet locations and times. I'm at bluewater/dartford crossing so a good hot-spot for a fair few members to pass through. No matter how we do it it will bean early start to allow for travel and further stops along the way. Any help greatly appreciated[emoji5]
  22. Does anyone mind of I make a separate post to try and arrange a south east convoy? Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  23. I've had a slight gearbox oil leak for a while that is progressively getting worse. I've considered a second hand box but given the nature of these cars I'd prefer having a new box for peace of mind and a real guarantee. I've had a local rough quote of £500-600. My question to you good people is: Can you send me anyone that comes highly recommended, quick turn around and reasonably priced? New clutch and skimmed flywheel to go on at the same time. Might even do the spigot bearing [emoji12]
  24. Welcome to London dog! Must be on the east side? Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  25. Who kicked it, an elephant? That would require a fair amount of body work. Certainly won't just pull out. Have you tried contacting any local repair centres to get rough ballpark figures? Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
