  1. no thats fair enough I would have done the same - you havent had problems with you MAF sensor before have you?
  2. ok - smell of fuel could mean its running rich for some reason - are there any codes logged on the ecu - thinking possibly duff sensor
  3. to be fair I am easily pleased though chum :D
  4. thats what I like to see - passengers hanging on :D great shots!!
  5. the more it wears the more movement / vibration you get travelling down the drive shaft this then causes wear on the other bearings but as it was a whine only not progressed to vibration or knocking you should be fine

    Billy bargain

    proper result that !!
  7. thats a clean looking motor Dave - good luck with the sale
  8. keep us posted as to progress ;)
  9. I dont mind it - like the clean lines - interesting to see if it does get twitchy though
  10. some great shots there - do you have enough photos for a build thread?
  11. look further afield than UK as well Canadian breakers carry more of the outback and forrester parts
  12. top job - can see you replacing those hose clips with shiny ones now you have a new pink backdrop ;)
  13. it does sound like a fuelling issue related to control but unfortunately I cant advise any further as I have no experience with your motor - sorry
  14. think you have caught it early on - if you had left it (as some people do) there may well have been additional issues
  15. any chance he could take some shots of the fit process - would be a good thread?
  16. subtle - like it plus some protection for your lenses
  17. Its not my money but I would avoid - the photos are not too clear but the badges don't look right to me - there is one which looks genuine with a few more marks and that is on ebay starting at £100 - You have got yourself a sorted motor if you really want the HKS it is worth saving for. forge do valves which are great quality and not as expensive as the HKS but comparable to the Bailey option as an alternative http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?cat=220201&catalog=220201DV&inc=product http://www.baileyshop.co.uk/subaru-impreza-version-7-8-01-07-bailey-dump-valve-83-p.asp
  18. does the M3 come with iridium sunglasses as well
  19. couldnt tell you - to the right person they could have a decent price
  20. echo Gambit there - sounds like you have received some inaccurate info there - bolting on a DV is straight forward no need for any remaps or additional upgrades - there have been comments in the past about the cars not running as well with them on but that has been going from a standard recirc valve to an external vent, when reverted they were fine. I have never had any issues with fitting dump valves and they have always resulted in smoother gear changes
