  1. when it comes to finishing the car - paint job or wrap - cheap and good don't tend to go hand in hand. these chaps are in Cradley might be worth a conversation http://www.marksautobodies.co.uk/
  2. Nice one Pete I forgot the pad slap one if you are worried about the turbo noise make a short video and post it or compare it to vids on you tube etc
  3. its a simple procedure save yourself some money... http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/2366-manually-reading-ecu-codes-classic-shape-only/
  4. it could be a number of things, top suspension mount worn, worn bush on the lower arms somewhere, possibly the differential settling with change of direction. wrt the disc - I would replace them as a pair unless the other one is nearly new but, what I would ask is why there has not been even disc wear on both sides - it could indicate seized piston in the caliper which has caused the brake pad to be constantly dragging on the disc??
  5. Its probably some woodland creature wondering what the hell happened, one minute foraging in a field next vacuumed up by some huge induction system :D
  6. I had a thought last night about you converting the spoiler brake light to a fog light - why didn't you put a lamp in the rear light cluster - are they that different in the US? Also something to check wrt the high level spoiler light now being a fog light, I know the reason they are there is by law on new cars - there was legislation passed saying new cars needed a brake light x amount of height from the floor, they reckon they found that people could see others in front braking through windscreens etc and it gave them more time to react - hence the new Jag XK's having a little boot spoiler which unfortunately causes the front end to go light at 120+ - something that would not be there by design but is there by law. What I dont know is how the deviation from a new standard by law will impact the MOT as a modification - wouldn't want you to get caught out
  7. How about these from our very own club shop? http://www.mufflebox.com/collections/subaru/styling
  8. The models post 97 (I think) combined the coil pack and the ignitor pack - so if you have an old coil pack on your car there will be no ignitor pack and the coils will not send a signal to the plugs As you have stated it looks like you have an earlier coil pack fitted but... can you find the lead that should plug into the new pack if you replace it with the correct part? old type http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-LEGACY-90-96-FORESTER-98-98-IGNITION-COIL-Blade-Plug-Terminal-MOVEMENT-/321328841715?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AForester&hash=item4ad0b103f3 combined pack http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Quinton-Hazell-Ignition-Coil-Subaru-FORESTER-2-0-1997-2002-/161179170872?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Cars+Year%3A2000|Model%3AForester&hash=item258706f838
  9. Look at a budget of 2k minimum if you can that should get you something which will be relatively trouble free
  10. This may help - not sure of the year though so it might not be yours - it looks like they may have changed the module after 97
  11. This is an hour away from you but a member works there - http://tdracing.co.uk/contact-us http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/2631-td-racing-thwaites-developments-warwick/

  13. no problem chum, anything to help you sell them and release more funds for mods ;)
  14. Wotcha and welcome Niaz - plenty of Legacy owners on here so Ill wait for them to answer the other questions however when it comes to windscreen wipers I have found PIAA silicon ones are the way to go - far better visibility over OEM
  15. Item number 20 in the link http://www.buysubarupartsnow.com/oem-part/subaru/forester/2007/x/2-5l-h4-gas/fuel-system/fuel-system-components/fuel-filter/42072aa121 picture - its the teabag type thing on the pump uptake
  16. Any chance of some photos - it tends to help with the sale??
  17. Wotcha and welcome :)
  18. Think for your year they are in tank, part of the pump / pickup system, seem to remember something about replacement every 60k but that might be my Impreza

ah - actually I might have thrown a bit of a curve ball in there - I think MY99 is from 98 and yours is a 97 so apologies there - might be worth a telephone call though
