  1. nice to hear people actually win :)
  2. Do you have any blue smoke coming out of the exhaust? If the oil is getting past your rings or there is an issue with the turbo you will get blue smoke how many miles has the car done? as long as the turbines are supported you will get pressure on spool up. 3 litres in 1500 miles is a lot, if it is coming past the rings your plugs could be fouled - what colour are they? Is the coolant fluid clear, no milkiness? Might be worth doing a sniff test just to make sure in order to check head gasket??
  3. Wotcha and welcome - a few on here from your part of the world
  4. That looks great - all the slight changes make a really good package
  5. oooohhh liking the sound of that lot :P
  6. Wotcha and welcome!!

all good known brands - if it was me I tend to stick with what I know works although I was looking at Syvecs options at one point - pricey but the amount of control you get to protect your engine is good
  8. That is a great result, good to hear they will at least look to rectify the issue, gives you time to look about and decide who you would like to complete the higher spec rebuild
  9. I don't think you will have an issue with that motor, should be a nice result when done - agree with Gambit I can see your mum pushing to exchange the sport for your turbo project once that is completed :D
  10. great stuff, something else to look forward to
  11. yup that was the one properly over the top but still a shame to see it trashed
  12. I remember that Carlton - it was a huge amount of work they did on it just for it to be slammed, shame. I agree I think it would sit nicely in a classic - unfortunately one isn't coming along for me anytime soon otherwise I would keep it for my 22b replica :)
  13. That's turned out spot on
  14. Those are great neighbours indeed
  15. The 4 pin box will be the relay, the Hellas will draw more current so if there is no relay in the circuit already you use the relay to have a dedicated supply from the battery but triggered using the existing loom from the switch in the car. That way it doesnt overload the existing wiring. Gambit has installed them so he will be able to describe his own approach
  16. Wotcha and welcome Mark - dont think it would be and issue - feel free to help out with any electrical troubleshooting as well
  17. I think it would be a good place to start given your budget
  18. They do look good - any plans for other Subaru models?
  19. Four spoke Italian leather steering wheel - will fit onto momo steering boss, some age related marks in leather, no tears or repairs cost over £200 back in the day looking for £80 postage will be dependant on destination etc plus I haven't weighed it yet ;)
  20. mate that is a hell of a link but damn.... where is the rest of the car in the photo you posted that just looks the ****** and I can only see a fraction of the front quarter!!!
  21. Wotcha and welcome to the forum - thats quite the shopping list and I hope you can get something which meets your expectations however when I was reading and totting up the pound signs against it then came to your budget you may have set your sights a little high - I would suggest attending insurance auctions where the write offs get offloaded as a possible solution to your request... but feel free to post some pics of your wagon, we have a few members on here with some really tidy wagon examples
  22. Wotcha and welcome - apologies I don't have the answer to your question but I'm sure someone with the knowledge will be along in a bit
  23. As Pete says there is a little more to it than a rebadge - what it also means is you get 330bhp as a standard dealer car which causes a lot less confusion with some insurance companies - although we have got a forum discount deal with Adrian Flux and they know their Imprezas
  24. thats it - if you are willing to save a bit longer the newer 330s model comes with a push button start its the little things :P
