  1. very funny :D :D
  2. well its like being forced to choose between a lottery jackpot win and a million pound bank account - if any of those Scoobs turned up on my drive I would be very pleased - if I was in the position I would have two sets of wheels one black one gold and feel thoroughly spoilt :P
  3. There are a few classic owners on the forum, you want to watch for rust on rear arches - there is a lip on the inside that gathers crud, check for hoses that are now brittle or split due to age / heat etc, some basics there but for now I would refresh the brake fluid for some new 5.1 if it hasn't had a service recently Id get some good oil and plugs in place, new filter and check the state of your air filter - stick in some petrol and enjoy
  4. Wotcha and wlecome - great to have you onboard
  5. Excellent news!! cost effective mods - hi flow filter, exhaust, uprate the brakes or good service, decent oil and filter plus plugs, depends how far you would like to go

Wotcha and welcome - quite a few options open to you, depends on budget and as gambit suggested power requirements.

  8. half the pleasure is thinking about mod planning and changing your mind I have now started to right things down as I come up with new ideas and start to lose track

  10. create a thread in the wanted section, that way it will be easier for potential sellers browsing to find your request :)
  11. A very nice birthday pressie list indeed :D
  12. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to share some photos, I am no classics expert but read in this months Jap performance mag about classics kits being done by ABW http://www.abwmotorsport.co.uk/ they might be able to help
  13. Wotcha and welcome Tim - we did have this in a discussion thread but I cant remember the outcome also we had a bit of a hiccup with the hosting and lost quite a few threads ill have a look and see if it is still there. Feel free to post some photos - before and after attempting the puddle would be good ;)
  14. Hi Bazza - the link requires a members login to view - any chance you could host them on something like photobucket or feel free to upload them to our gallery
  15. Wotcha and welcome - thanks for the feedback, we are fortunate that we have a great set of members on here
  16. Are you sure they have been removed and are not the old ones as you have some other weights there in the last picture?
  17. luvvly jubbly
  18. all they need is a socket then a spanner other wise you can wind the ratchet all the way out to the engine bay and get it trapped, with mine I cracked it with the socket gave it a couple of turns and wound the rest out with my fingers. The shaking could be balance of a wheel being out - check and see if you have lost a weight... but the leaning to the left is not - it sounds to me like you have something loose in the drive train
  19. yup just reinforces that I dont think a wide enough piece of research was completed
  20. :D :D :D is that light blue touch paper and stand well back or what :D :D :D ? nice one Tom ;)
  21. Nice on buddy - sounds like you have your mojo back - looking forward to the pics :)
  22. Glad you came out of it ok - could have been worse
  23. Sounds good Cusco, are we going to get some before and after shots?
  24. The one thing I would say when it comes to wrapping, all the discussions that have been had revolve around the conclusion of buy cheap buy twice - you will pay less initially but the quality of the vinyl will be lower and runs a high probability of looking shabby very quickly. If price is a concern is there no chance you could address the paint job with polishes or are the imperfections right down to the metal - you could spend £400 get yourself completely kitted out with a DA polisher, mops and compound - clay bars etc if you do a great job you could possibly offer to do the same to your mates cars for a fee and re-coup some money. Why dont you take a trip down to these chaps and have a chat - nice run in the sticks - check out their ebay stuff they have a full range but would probably be able to advise on treatments / approaches to your existing body work http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120924962839 Claire & David Laschke PerfectlyCleaned, Unit 14 Highgrove Farm Ind Est, Seaford Pinvin, Pershore Worcestershire WR10 2LF 01905 841534
