  1. great way to do it - as Savage has demonstrated ;)
  2. Yup have used them in past and not had any issues
  3. This is the Shel stuff I use at the moment but OPIE have a wider choice of brands - which includes DOT 3 if needed http://www.smithandallan.com/prodpage.aspx?id=3727 http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-450-brake-fluid-clutch-fluid.aspx
  4. thats what I did previously on a vauxhall many years ago - reseat with silicone behind to hold it
  5. Wotcha and welcome - great to have you onboard :)
  6. 5 is different that is silicone based which can affect the seals - 5.1 is different again but similar to 3 and 4 (just with higher temp tolerances) so shouldnt cause any damage to the rubber
  7. True, I would say there would be a fair amount of interchangeability - would pay to check track between models
  8. yes that is fine - but as you have low fluid check your pad wear (I assume no leaks) also if it hasnt been changed in a couple of years I would recommend a refresh with new fluid (I myself would go with Dot 5.1 as it has higher temp tolerance than 3)
  9. Im sure it is on its way
  10. a glowing review indeed
  11. As you are looking for 350 plus I would look at a replacing the TD04 just so you know the amount of air you need to move will be possible, sorry I cant advise on the engine version combinations other than suggesting a full cdb with an uprated cooling system due to there being less coolant around the heads and possibly a stroker kit allowing you to run slightly less compression to achieve the BHP target
  12. both the Hawkeye and Sharkeye models come with a double din radio, Pioneer , Kenwood plus others do models that will fit - you will probably need an adapter harness to retain the steering wheel controls
  13. Always useful to know where to get great service from echo the shrooms advice - although I had to cut the fairing panels on my bike to fit them I was much happier getting the bike right over
  14. What a shame - also what a waste of time and effort with the original block - why not just do it properly in the first place. Maybe putting this right to the spec you want will re kindle the interest / passion?? either way keep us posted :)
  15. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to have a look about and it would be great to see some photos :)
  16. suits me - its not my number plate on my car
  17. Proper result and more security when driving
  18. The uprated actuator holds the wastegate closed longer which enables a higher boost pressure to be achieved. You can vary the length of the rod and / or have a different weight spring fitted. forge do an item where you can change the springs to suit giving you that flexibility http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=220201&product=FMPACTUN as well as a range of adjustable actuators
  19. As long as it has a JASO or API approval on it, fully synth I would be happy - I dont see an issue changing between the weights as you have done particularly with the frequency both are within the Subaru manual range
  20. I see - been down that route myself, needs must and all that
  21. Ahh yes a cunning blend of Platinum Silver Metallic (01G, 17K) and Steel Grey metallic (26D) http://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch-up-paint/subaru/2003/forester/
  22. Wotcha and welcome - some decent mods you have planned there - be caeful it becomes addictive :D
  23. a-ha, just noticed the photo, nice one!! :)
  24. Wotcha and welcome - we have quite a few Fozzie owners on here so feel free to have a look about and if you have any photos to share of your new purchase that would be great ;)
