  1. Wow £1200 it shows just how important a trusted non dealer servicing network is for keeping your pride and joy on the road
  2. yup echo advice from Mr.B there - that plus good pen oil and a blow torch, try the one then progress to next on the list, prime example exhaust studs on older bikes :D
  3. Wotcha and welcome... Nitemare - easily done - couple on ebay at the moment - not genuine but could get you through until something more appropriate came along http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Impreza-Facelift-Bonnet-RB5-Colour-/390762279380?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5afb3f31d4 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-impreza-Facelift-P1-V5-V6-Alloy-Bonnet-74F-aluminum-Sti-Wrx-Rb5-/141194689436?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20dfdbfb9c
  4. oooooh just think of them grinding their dirty corroded surfaces into all that pristine Italian exotica :P
  5. Maybe these will help got these from a bit of research so if they are the wrong model etc would someone advise buuuut it will give you an idea of were and what to look for Where it is How you get the fluid in Front Diff dipstick is item 2 Gearbox dipstick is item 2
  6. naaah if there are no pictures I dont believe it great news chum - the ££££ question is it depends on what you have done as a full pulley kit costs more than a belt but would be worth looking at if it has not been done. We have seen figures on here from 150 - 300+ but the services completed were slightly different. we have Savage and a couple others are not too far away from you who may be able to recommend a trusted garage - FB tuning in Bucks may be a little far from you also one in Keyworth - but if you did travel what you would probably be able to do is have a discussion with the mechanic and understand what they would recommend from a servicing perspective which may justify the miles
  7. was considering them for mine but didn't get around to it looked at these as well but wasn't sure about them all being logo'd http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-GENUINE-STI-McGARD-LIGHT-WEIGHT-WHEELS-NUTS-1993-2007-/161219508686?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item25896e79ce
  8. The same wheels that are on Gambits ride have come up on ebay over last couple of years as sets of four just needing refurb / repair but have gone for little money (comparatively) so it might be worth being a little patient and saving money in the long run
  9. unfortunately you do pay to learn and its great that you have shared your findings with us :)
  10. I have been forced to do it in the new Scooby otherwise it wasn't something I had done previously
  11. It might be worth you test driving local versions of the models then travelling to get the one you want after you have decided, many members have travelled a few hours to get the model they want
  12. That is the stuff I currently use should be enough there
  13. I dont want to be the damp squib here but I would only buy them for the track or offroad use. Magnesium alloy whilst being very light and strong does have a shelf life of x amount of hours - they are not designed for longevity and a lot of race teams return them for recycling to ensure they do not end up on the public highway. I dont know where you would stand if one failed on the road and you trashed your car. I would go with Petes recommendation they only have one spoke less and will last a lot longer, particularly on British roads or try and source some older ones like Gambit has that may need a refurb
  14. I do like a before and after thread :)
  15. They are OZ ones you can see the labelling in this photo
  16. useful to know - a couple of people have come on looking for reputable garages in Surrey Bucks area
  17. Hope it all gets sorted - it is disappointing for such a low mileage car
  18. We use a lot of hosting like with photo bucket if you ever need to post a lot in the future and its too much of a pain to segment
  19. Awesome thread - some great mods done and nice feedback about how each one performed - and those track shots show what must have been a cracking day - Cadwell is hoot
  20. Wotcha and welcome - car sounds like a great example - do you have any photos to go with it? Are you looking to get another scooby once you have sold this one?
  21. just checked out their website - it sounds like a film score because that is what they do - silly me
  22. ok ill give a listen after I have finished the other one - its still going, sounds a bit pirates of the Caribbean now :)
  23. not played that so unfortunately lost on me
