  1. Ideal winter run around and in a great colour as well - a list of mods starting to form - its a slippery slope but smile inducing :)
  2. Wotcha and welcome - all normal stuff - the clutch is a little heavier than the honda car examples and they do idle lumpy, mine gives a little shudder every few revs, I have read that equal length manifold pipes will make it smoother and sound more like an inline four engine but not tried it myself
  3. that is what I was going to suggest as it looks like you have checked all the other stuff
  4. Congratulations buddy !!!!
  5. wotcha and welcome - it may be worth checking the coils as well as the plugs
  6. got that on mine as well - works a treat :)
  7. yup look for the waffle ;)
  8. it would work out just fine - I would fit all of the tasty aftermarket bits and make sure there were enough test miles on it for you so when you had it back you would know it all worked great :D In fact Miggs and I could share the testing for you
  9. I have uno spazio accanto agli altri miei auto :)
  10. Welcome - sorry to hear about that The bearing failure (allegedly because of slight miss alignment during assembly) is an issue that can arise with the Subaru range - that does seem a steep price to replace though
  11. I have space on my drive ;)
  12. Wotcha and welcome Ben - Not too familiar with LPG but a fellow member (Bouncer) has a few issues with a rather neglected sport wagon - check for rust around the back end, subframes and wheel arches also corrosion / seizure of brake caliper bleed nipples.

for beaches look at norfolk, cornwall or along south coast, for scenery and great drives look at Wales, the north of England and definitely Scotland

No buddy, was working up there - I would quite happily move up the NE but missus wont leave parents at this point. thats a hell of a journey you made but a story to tell for sure
  15. 2k for this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-Subaru-Impreza-Standard-Car-1994cc-Petrol-/370672683090?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item564dd04852 but as I said if it was me Id fix the wrx then sell break the sport then buy a sport you like I have tried driving around off boost - only works for a few miles, but that is just me :D
  16. jeez buddy that is some list there but at least it is all fixable. you mentioned a while back that fuel economy was now more of a priority so fixing the sport would be the better long term option, however fixing either, in my mind, means a long term commitment as they will both owe you in outlay. I would have to re read but I seem to remember the possibility of taking some of the good stuff ie brakes from the WRX to fit to the sport so that would help support some of the improvement but that would still leave you with a WRX which needs attention or that will need breaking to recoup some funds or you bite the bullet and just scrap the WRX. what would I do fix the wrx and sell it try and at least break even take anything worth breaking from the sport to sell possibly store it in the empty space from the wrx. then go shopping for a sport in the colour you want etc but without the rust etc of this one
  17. amazing aren't momo and O.Z. also Italian brand /manufacturers?

I had 3 ladies from Bari over as my guests to Newcastle upon Tyne - they enjoyed themselves especially when it turned out one of the local restaurant managers came from Bari as well - lots of Amarone consumed that evening ;)
  19. Thats an awesome looking car - Its a shame a country that has made some design greats like Pininfarina puts such a restraint on its people when it comes to cars, I didn't know it was that way - is it the same for motorbikes?
  20. never used it myself but can see the appeal
  21. Wotcha and welcome - anti lag is awesome, makes me smile! ;)
  22. Hi - as standard your car should be 215/60R16 94H 16 x6.5jj, offset 48, bolt pattern 5 - PCD 100 Taken from this site http://www.cars101.com/subaru/tiresandwheels.html so check for alloys that have the same numbers, not the 16 inch though ;)
  23. Wotcha and welcome did you press the small button on the console before as that indicates the mileage trip A or B on mine ?
