I concur you can tell the difference - I can see why your neighbour says the room vibrates when it is out, it is a lot deeper

Road rumble in rear nearside only
that or check the top mount - but that would be more of a clunk than a grind...

Grind under 2000rpm and Clunk at Very Low Speed
You may want to consider changing the gearbox oil and putting in an additive to help with lowering friction

BRZ
I read in one of the mags about the work Litchfield was doing to improve the BRZ, brakes and handling pack was a big one as they reckoned the wheels were a little too narrow and started from there... http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/Toyota/GT86-BRZ-Suspension but each too their own and fair play to them ;) - keep us posted on what you decide to do :)

Search for my old Type R! Dark Mica Blue Type R V6 2000 V944 WDA
just checked it out - does look like a good place to start again - given you have done some research and lined up an alternative you could be in a great position to negotiate. also wrt the 96k if you want to lavish time and some money on it to bring it up to the previous standard chances are you would replace all of the mileage worn components anyway, bushes, rings etc

What do i do now
To effect a repair wont be impossible but it will be a big job broken out that is for sure

BRZ
I think given how tidy that install looks and the drivers car concept of the BRZ I think I would go for the supercharger - constant power delivery whilst rear wheel steering, sweet :P

great post Miggs - take your time and the pipe replacement will be no problem ;)
-
Dual AVCS compatibility
running an SCDB with decent liners plus all the associated uprated studs, gaskets etc should be fine and will have the benefits associated with cooling flow around the head These chaps offer stuff off the shelf http://www.ra-motorsport.co.uk/Product/Category/EK20101130021332

Intercoolers
a replacement top mount possibly with a guard as well sounds ideal for your requirements ;)

What do i do now
That is an issue - wrt the dash its a time vs money vs space issue, it is a pita but would be cost effective in the long run would give you something pretty special but will mean taking up room. Do you have space to store the bits once removed including the dash and getting rid of the shell in the short term?
