Brake lights and headlights come on together
Has it just started happening or is it something you have lived with as it sounds to me like a crossed wire somewhere along the line - similar to when you wire up the brake lights to the horn :D

Can a faulty stat cause water/coolant loss

Is my car a wrx sti
It should reflect that on the log book / V5- I have looked at the gallery pictures you have posted and I cant see the WRX STI badges, it doesn't have the WRX STI alloys I would expect either. Even if it is an import it should still reflect correctly in the log book - a quick call to the DVLA will confirm your suspicions

This might sound crazy
due to the extra amount of air volume in the intake system there can be a delay / lag as the turbo is effectively pressurising a larger amount - this can be compensated for but is also a good example of how you should approach your engine mods vs requirement - it isnt necessarily a case of bolt stuff on and go. If low down torque is a requirement look at putting turbo on that will spool up quicker - you will loose at the top end but gain lower down

New to it all
Wotcha and welcome - yes please share some pictures if you have them :)

This might sound crazy
The faulty stat is more likely as this will stop liquid flow completely leading to overheating - the FMIC isnt designed to restrict air flow but will do if the fins are damaged. Cars have stacked coolers for things like oil and air con as well as the rad, as long as the fins are ok the air flows through no problem

Impreza sport special 2.0
It would depend on your driving style - what do you enjoy and also if petrol consumption is something you take into consideration. before you make your final decision take a test drive in a couple of different models - wrx, sti etc and see if there is a huge difference in your enjoyment then make your choice ;)

Impreza sport special 2.0
for power potential the turbo is the most cost effective way to go however for the sport look to get it breathing and running right - induction filter and performance exhaust, a good service, clean injectors and good spark from plugs. Then look at the handling - shed weight and upgrade the brakes possibly suspension and antiroll bars. That way you improve the power to weight ratio and have improved cornering

2 airbox questions
that shouldn't affect things too much - you could use a little piece of trunking and set up a cold air feed to link into the airbox like this for example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RAMAIR-Cold-Air-Feed-Ducting-Intake-Hose-Pipe-For-Induction-Kits-60mm-x-500mm-/350711565838?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item51a809ce0e

impeza springs
Good point - they may fit but due to the differences in the cars they were made for you could end up with a ride that is still too stiff for you

Radiator Issues
