  1. found continental sport contact 3's were as sticky but better in damp / wet conditions than toyo proxes. we had a thread recently where I believe goodyear eagles were also recommended after a spirited highland run
  2. hey it happens - and speak as I find, the halfords stuff has lasted and done the job - half price though is worth a look in. the way I looked at it as well was if the halfords stuff broke I could either get it replaced by them or go for a higher end brand but nothing has broken so far...
  3. Wotcha and welcome - clearly no shrinking violet, that is a one hell of a paint job, nice kit on it as well, any engine work??
  4. nice trailer - i know they need to do something to generate more interest - any motorsport where components are designed to fail during the race I think is a bit pants, they should have it designed so that all involved are trying to be the best at what they do, afterall this is supposed to be the pinnacle of motorsport engineering
  5. Halfords pro fine so far - I have some sockets (torx, allen and standard 1/2 & 3/8 drive), spanners and possibly a 3/8's ratchet (i think, actually that might be snap on ill check) but I understand they come with a lifetime guarantee so you shouldnt have any issues with sorting a breakage, been using them for a couple of years now adding individual bits as I need them. If it is for a specific job - a little more specialist I do go for snap on and teng - think that is psycological though
  6. Wotcha and welcome - loving both cars some really smart mods producing a couple of really clean cars!!
  7. had various different responses to "does your father watch you in the bath?" sometimes they do
  8. yup pretty weak, take brain out to watch
  9. too many comments!! - must restrain, back to the vino :P
  10. I think this is just normal - as Gambit says if the revs start going all over the place and idle becomes erratic then think about chacking the MAF
  11. looking good - we looked at an MPS before opting for the Subaru just didnt like the idea of fighting it up the road all the time, felt far more in control in the impreza
  12. done some browsing - turned up nothing sounds like you have something very individual :)
  13. done some digging all I could come up with is the following info... can only suggest contacting Subaru directly
  14. oh I didnt make it - I just found it, liked it and reposted it - not that artistic / creative I'm afraid
  15. didnt the STI's have a different steering wheel as well or was it just all 05's on with 3 spoke and sti badge in centre?
  16. Wotcha and welcome - I think you will enjoy the change of vehicle ;)
  17. wotcha and welcome - looking forward to the pics of the works vehicle - seems like the code is missing a digit thought they were all 7 digit codes curiouser and curiouser ;)
  18. this is where my knowledge is being added to as I go along... I thought the 04 blob had the same dash as the bug from 02 then it changed with the 05 model blob?
  19. and after taking 3 days to get to that point I can imagine your response :D
  20. from the interior it looks like an MY04 model you should have a code like this on your vin plate GDAE48D GDAE48T plug it into this web page and see if it generates a result http://scoobyprojects.co.uk/technical/appliedmodel.php also this may help with the VIN breakdown http://www.cars101.com/subaru/vin.html
