  1. nope not Wickerman this clue should give it away...
  2. Wotcha and welcome - there is an wagon Impreza - this one is not exactly a shrinking violet ;) http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/3287-my-uk-wagon/ This Fozzie is slightly more subtle but will still haul when it needs to http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1843-my-forester-25xten/ More room but impreza type drive go for the Legacy R Spec B
  3. What makes it more frustrating is you cannot throw the tool you are holding either :D
  4. I have done that before on many an occasion :D
  5. Red or black for me
  6. The calculations dont work as simply as that due to numerous other factors that all affect the flow rate of air in and out of the engine plus inertia of components and compression ratios. Ill try and break the statements and answer individually for clarity. The NA vs turbo debate for equal BHP (power) relates to how the power is delivered. The power for the NA engine is there straight away so giving drive earlier. An equivalent power turbo engine has a delay while the turbo comes up to speed (spooling up) and thus pressurising the air intake - this increases the air fuel mixture (due to density) crammed into the chamber giving a bigger bang, this is how smaller capacity engines with a turbo can generate the same power as larger capacity NA engines. The engine characteristics between the legacy and the impreza are different not only because of the size but also because of the turbo setup and the tune, they are designed to be different drives, nice fat torque spread against a more active driver engagement to stir the gearbox and keep the motor buzzing - the Spec R legacy though could be some what more of a beast so dont count that in this train of thought. I would advise driving both as I believe (having driven a couple of vectras) you will find both cars really enjoyable to drive but I think you will struggle to draw theoretical comparisons when you start to take into consideration power to weight ratios between the vauxhall and the subarus - its not just about the individual numbers but the sum of all parts
  7. Wotcha and welcome - a few members with classics on the forum so hopefully the answer will be along shortly I do know later cars a have a slightly wider track on the sportier models but I dont know if that is true for the classic
  8. another clue added
  9. Wotcha and welcome - cant go wrong with either of those models :)
  10. You could get a replacement aerial lead or go for a roof mount if you fancy tweaking a little more something like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Van-BEE-STING-radio-aerial-black-/380778993491?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item58a8325753 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Standard-Shark-Fin-Aerial-Antenna-Car-Van-New-Universal-Radio-AM-FM-/350879335953?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item51b209c611
  11. isnt it just a cable - nothing too high tech??
  12. Oilman (Tim) of Opie oils will point you in the right direction - might even be able to sort some forum discount for you
  13. That is certainly a great place to test drive
  14. Its a digital signal kit for the radio. the idea is you connect the kit to your existing aerial lead and you tune your radio to a particular frequency which is the signal coming from the digital kit, you then change stations using the digital tuner getting digital radio stations instead of your current head unit. here is an example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New-Pure-Highway-DAB-Digital-Radio-In-Car-or-Portable-AUX-In-Out-ICT-/261111313161?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item3ccb727309
  15. Nice easy fix for a change - nice one :)
  16. Now that is a body kit - I wonder how much wider it is than a standard BRZ ??? :)
  17. Wotcha and welcome ;)
  18. okey dokey try this one
  19. Is it Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief?
  20. Wotcha and welcome
  21. It is a great colour that
  22. yup used K&N filters for quite a few years always had good results
  23. ahem - never really checked to see if they are working.... only ever used standard ones from garage now brake lights fog lights etc I have been replacing my standard ones with CREE high power LED types
  24. Also if you run the Vpower type fuel as well it is good to have a map matched to that and get the benefit
