  1. that would be useful to know, always good to know where you stand when dealing with the thin blue line ;)
  2. RA have a good site layout which shows you the individual costs for Cosworth components and they have some kit prices as well which could be an option http://www.ra-motorsport.co.uk/Product/Category/DB20100917115549
  3. Wotcha and welcome, great car - the discs look tiny under those monster rims!
  4. Wotcha and welcome Richard - a great move if I could be so bold, that is a lovely looking example, we have a few members on here from your part of the world to.
  5. didnt know that - I only thought it was to do with the amount of light that was blocked not what colour etc and they have a sensor to check that
  6. Since I came over to the subaru way of thinking I was quite excited when I discovered the ute, I had seen couple of Brats that I would seriously consider This one caught my eye a while back - the only thing I would have to check is if the length of the flat bed will let me get a full size crosser in or if it would be for pitbikes only Spec 1992 subaru brat with an impreza engine and running gear. Engine is a closed deck block with version 4 heads skimmed and checked steel head gaskets JE pistons, steel rods, acl bearings, arp head stud kit, rcm oil pump, cosworth baffle plate Type ra gearbox but does have all wiring for DCCD box in it ready to go Custom made propshaft custom made anti roll bars custom made exhaust Resprayed and under sealed Defi dials oil temp oil pressure boost Sti seats custom made interior panels Engine covered about 5000 since built the rest of the ute has covered just over 2500 since it was stripped repainted and rebuilt
  7. Sounds like you are all set!
  8. Yup echo Gambit - it is too nice to scrap!
  9. That is looking really sharp - have earmarked some grills for mine, going for black contrast against the silver
  10. needs one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Saber-XL-edv-V3-Dump-Valve-Simulator-Sound-/150840059948?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item231ec4a82c
  11. So its a little chalk and cheese but how is the sound comparison as I do like a bit of V8 symphony and was considering a Holden ute to cart my mx's to the track?
  12. Best way to get your car sorted and really understand how it goes together - bit by bit, time well spent by the look of it :)
  13. Wotcha and welcome - Kudos on the car lovely bit of kit - any time I have seen oil and water it has been emulsified as you describe, I have never heard of it being as separate as that and also to lose that amount of oil. My 2p - the plumbing is cross connected - you have an engine breather pipe connected to your coolant expansion bottle or you have a fracture / failure in the head which is allowing oil into the return line. Either way something like this should be sorted under warranty as it is probably an individual instance.
  14. Id go for removing the fog light as well - square on to the air flow will give a really good result
  15. Lets hope you get the weather for a spirited clearing out of the tubes
  16. if you are just planning normal use I agreed with Gambit wrt belts possibly check / replace water pump + spark plugs. for more spirited stuff I would consider uprated oil pump and sump baffle
  17. yup vents are good particularly if you are running a tuned lump - get that extra heat out
  18. sounds like its going to be an easy straight swap - possibly with some bits to sell on and offset the expense, and you have the old engine which may or may not be salvageable - all very positive
  19. Thats a nice little mod - jobs a good 'un
  20. I think that will help the air flow a little :P
  21. !Removed! ell - that was a serious catch, very lucky
  22. I shouldnt worry Steve has already told us we are excluded - that was after several posts in mind you
  23. where did my post go?? ha ha now I see its a doppelgänger :D
  24. Wotcha and welcome to the forum - have you done any work on any Subaru's?
