  1. Wotcha and welcome - all friendly on this forum ;) there are also a number of forrester owners who may be able to shed some light on the centre section you have
  2. I know - now you see why I was thinking about proper catches when I was on a closed private road doing similar speeds it wasnt quite as bad but there was some serious movement going on up front :o
  3. There isn't any post restriction you should be able to upload it top the site - particularly as we actively encourage this as it will stop gaps in the site if things are deleted from remotely hosted places like You Tube edit - however have just tried mp4 to the media library myself and it was blocked - will have a rummage behind the scenes
  4. Top result chaps and quite a subtle car, I think the bonnet is made of paper though :P Article and stills http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=27697 The lap Close up of car and sound on track - yummy
  5. I used clear plastic covers as headlight protection on my van and bike but wouldn't go the tinted route -- over the years I have had enough attention from the police without having a mod like that, also I like as much light coming out the front as possible. Id just go with the split and respray the internals as shown in another thread.
  6. any excuse to terrorise the tarmac eh :D
  7. The TD04 is a standard size turbo for subarus but before you buy be aware that the a TD04 from a Forrester has different internals to a TD04 from an Impreza. So the turbo itself will be fine as long as you address everything else that goes with a turbo installation - intercooler, fuelling, air flow into the system boost control exhaust etc
  8. Great to hear things are progressing as Gambit said looking forward to the pictures
  9. it does, it saps your power and uses more gas - so all id do is give it a swill once a week if it hasnt been used to demist the windscreen or chill the car, although on holiday in the states with a cabriolet hire car it was nice blowing on you with the roof down :)
  10. obviously it is better to be there with you but it wasnt knocking as much as I thought it would be, more blowing, are all your pipes connected - you havent got a split somewhere have you - is there blue or white smoke coming out of the exhaust?
  11. Wotcha and welcome - not done any transplants myself but I know some have on the forum so hopefully they will be along to advise
  12. Hi - I have zoomed in on the photo and I cant see one fitted just tubing - is there any chance you could take some close up shots of where the diagram shows the DV location to be?
  13. and discover new and exciting aroma's -
  14. Will be digging out the stuff we used for MX meets have to make sure its still in one piece - probably still covered in mud
  15. Wotcha and welcome - unfortunately same here - no sunroof - as Gbit says compare one side to the other look for something broken or bent
  16. Seen it done with a motorbike unit - put it in glass side down otherwise the plastic melts to the metal baking tray - it was in at 150 degrees for 8 minutes
  17. Hello and welcome - your English is great, my Romanian language is nothing ;) so you are doing a lot better than me.
  18. if you want then to come on with side lights just run leads from your existing side light circuit. if you want DRL then you will need to find or run a supply that becomes live when ignition is turned on then have leads from that. neither are particularly hard solutions if you are handy with a multimeter to find the circuits and a soldering iron sort the joins however you will need to be aware of what fuses protect those existing circuits and the power drain of teh lights you are connecting in place as the current fuses in place may not be big enough.
  19. Hi would this do the job - its less than what I paid for an 85 MX one which is about a quarter of the size http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OEM-QUALITY-SUBARU-IMPREZA-2-0-TURBO-93-00-MANUAL-RADIATOR-IMPORT-OR-UK-MODEL-/130833021398?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Cars+Year%3A2000|Car+Make%3ASubaru|Model%3AImpreza&hash=item1e764179d6
  20. yup I will have to ensure its more of a glamping exped its been a while since I've roughed it
  21. We're having third one in row tonight - got to get them in, rain coming tomorrow :(
  22. That sounds like a great way to spend some time (best take your own biccys though, just in case ;) ) Would be interested to hear views from individuals who do get to test it out :)
  23. Just checked the cold setting and that sport# mode still works... ;)
  24. Summer hols would probably be better for the roads bank holidays tend to be where lots of people just go and find a traffic jam to sit in
