  1. They should fit but as Odessey said there may be some additional wiring to deal with. At this point though I would stick with a like for like replacement that way at least you are back on the road
  2. Well it was theeee thing at the time - little bit of DTM for you, almost had that on my 200sx but sourced a twin round straight cut £50 less so went with that
  3. That is smart - looks fit for purpose, feeling slightly inadequate now, nearly 40 brake down and you could do a serious trip to B&Q with that machine ;)
  4. that's a cheeky little twin up-swept number peeking out there
  5. That is an issue - maybe a classic model would bring the insurance down?
  6. metal conducts heat - watch you dont burn your fingers :D hold it in a vice then take it steady and use grips to gently apply pressure as the joint is heated. That is a result from the seller though
  7. It would probably be best if you put the pictures on something like photobucket and then posted the link that would display them within the thread
  8. That does look like a great car - good luck with the sale
  9. jeez that looks like its had a wallop - hopefully the customer service of the supplier will be top notch
  10. Wotcha and welcome - very nice, looking forward to some photo's
  11. auto great for around town and urban driving / commuting - effortless but if it is specific long journeys I would go for the manual. It also gives more control in situations where there is less traction, or you could go auto and fit a power winch ;)
  12. Agreed I think it will help any resale opportunities
  13. we put the motor in an saw what broke - R&D my style so the new motor is more receptive to tuning as standard than the EJ - hmmm should I start trawling breakers now...
  14. Agreed this shape saloon definitely needs the spoiler
  15. Pretty sure they will - as Gambit said don't think they have changed the offset or anything
  16. What a beast looks like a touring car - I bet you have to dig small children and old people out of those intakes on a regular basis!
  17. Wotcha and welcome Dave - that is a great shot of your car!!
  18. no probs - whatever you do decide if you could a couple of before and after vids that would be good, sad as it sounds - its something I would genuinely be interested in B)
  19. Hmmm I would still haggle, some business is better than no business and the fact the website has not been updated is sloppy, an opportunity to get all car boot sale on their **** ;) play the innocent - you saw the offer phoned up you then feign disappointment and talk about the prodrive pack that is cheaper, from somewhere else of course in fact we do have some discounts linked to the forum - check those out as well, it may throw up something http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/forum/37-subaru-owners-club-company-discounts/
  20. Yup the Litchfield one for 2k retains the fast cat, which obviously helps when it comes to MOT time, in the mid section. Its £1595 without, the Pro R ditches the cat also so the price is comparable but retaining warranty is a good thing in my book. I dont know how new the deal is but that is from the Subaru site not the Pro R one but it is something to have in your back pocket when you phone to book in as its even the same picture used on both sites
  21. Driving the Type UK which is a similar package but gives an approx 330BHP I would say its a good thing to invest in - it is certainly a very enjoyable drive. here is a reduced offer for the 340R pack save £170 http://subaru.co.uk/offers/sti/ Have you done any comparisons with other options as what you are buying is a pipe and a remap, other packages have an uprated fuel pump and performance filter in place. The one difference I can see is which is of interest but also for discussion as to if it is needed is the decat pipe - on mine I have a standard pipe with a prodrive stainless backbox, so that may be where some of the additional 10BHP comes from. Personally on my ever extending list of things to change on my motor will be a trip to Litchfield in Gloucs - I like the Milltec system sound - not too loud and you get a filter. http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/SUBARU/Subaru-Performance-Upgrades/subaru_08_upgrades The Prodrive kit, slightly cheaper but less BHP and retains the original pipe midsection http://www.subarupartsstore.co.uk/product/Impreza_WRX_STI_2.5_2008_-_onwards_Performance_Pack_SACC2811#
  22. looking good, agree with the shade of red opinion
  23. You can copy and paste into the reply / text box if they are less than 500k or you can upload to your media space on this site then post a link to that or you can upload to something like photobucket which will allow up to 1Mb size at no cost to yourself then post a link to that
