  1. Well that definitely sounds like a job to do when the weather's a bit nicer! Cheers guys
  2. Haha, I've been sat giggling at this all morning! In all seriousness though, is changing vacuum lines difficult? A bit of colour in the engine bay is always nice...
  3. Although we musn't forget, no matter how much slower a black car is... Red calipers will ALWAYS add 20bhp!
  4. Welcome! Where did you get the batman badge/centre caps from? They're seriously cool!
  5. Can't say I could help on the oil change side... I'm sure someone can though! As for checking for oil leaks, rocker cover gaskets are very common weak points regarding that.
  6. Welcome! Always nice to see another legacy
  7. Now now, handbags away girls! ;)
  8. Welcome- as said, no question is too daft. Very nice bunch on here!
  9. I really am curious now! Surely if theres a genuine difference in paint weight, the car that gets polished the most would win? Or, as Savage said, the rustiest! I've definitely thought far too much into this. It's probably due to my hangover/the weather meaning I can't do anything to my car :(
  10. Haha, brilliant responses chaps! I think the blue/silver might need to be tested... There's not 2 standard imprezas in blue and silver going to Santa Pod in July is there?
  11. I was just wondering if other subaru model owners have a "fastest" colour. I know amongst Legacy owners, silver is the generally accepted one?
  12. Welcome the club. I'm sure the plans will soon be turned into a nice empty wallet! Some pictures are always encouraged... I'm in East Devon, so not a million miles away when you've crossed over?
  13. Welcome! I love the colour of your car! Very nice indeed.
  14. In Tesco car park about 8pm. 04 plate. Nice looking car!
  15. That's great, thanks again everyone!
  16. Thanks again... I need to find the right one for my legacy. I believe it's the same one as the impreza of the same year, 96/7 so that would be a classic? (I'm not that hot on impreza models yet.) Anyone have and idea if that's right?
  17. I think I'll go for it. I've got a few other niggles to take care of, so will probably be a few weeks before I get it. I'll let you all know how I get on with it. Cheers guys!
  18. My first car- a mk4 Fiesta- was called Rory. Since then my cars have been called various names based on how broken they are... I had a renault laguna for a few weeks, I won't repeat any of the names that had!
  19. Yeah, I'm pretty sure you just tip it straight in there. That'll be an interesting to thing to see done actually. I'd consider it myself if it's not overly complicated
  20. Oh and gear box oil I think you can just tip straight into the dip tube, nearer the back of the engine
  21. I remember my gx rear diff was a bit leaky... Wouldn't know much about sorting it out. I'm sure someone on here will though. Or it's a good chance to upgrade, I think WRX ones fit and would be a bit stronger?
  22. That is good! I shouldn't really, I'm in danger of spending far too much on shiny things I don't really need! But I'm sure one little peek won't hurt
  23. I'm fairly happy with the height of the stick itself, it was more to make just the distance between gears shorter. Similar to the one they did on mighty car mods? I'm starting to think I'm just overthinking it!
  24. I've been contemplating a short throw gear lever... I imagine a lot of you have them, I've just got this idea/worry that they're not that comfortable for everyday use, or am I just going nutty? Do they have any affect on bushes and things further down the linkage too? Any opinions will be greatly received Cheers, Sam
