  1. Hi, Does sound like piston slap to be honest. How many miles are on the clock? What oil do you use? have you checked it recently? When was it last serviced?
  2. Exciting times for a couple of reasons then lol! When do you reckon you'll get them on?
  3. Why did you have to try a jump start it? Was the battery dead when you reattached?
  4. Welcome! Wouldnt be seen dead in that Looks the nuts, do you have any more pics? As per Scoobydoobydan hopefully we'll get to see it at some point.
  5. Car seems to be running 100% again now after hours of searching I found the secondary turbo hose was completely loose!!!!
  6. Right, Ive def not got any of that! Thats good to know. Suppose I just need to take the car off the road while its done.
  7. £1200! Sounds very good. I need there number lol. The previous owner had them fitted so Im not sure how old they are but would say a few years. The fronts are good as gold but one of the rears is looking a bit tired. Might look to have the rears replaced or refurbed or whatever later this year.
  8. Not a bad price that! I have them on mine but have them set low and hard. I found low and softer was too bouncy for me. In short you may find you have to sacrifice ride height for comfort.
  9. Welcome! That is a lovely looking Foz for sure looks nicely stanced from the back.
  10. Good to see you getting back in the fold Sam!
  11. At the rate mine is going Im going to be taking a !Removed! break and looking for a new Scoob too!!!!
  12. Had car on the rollers today again. Seem to have a issue! (of course!). Slightly low boost and mega lean off at 5500 rpm (secondary turbo) MAF is fine. Next stop to replace fuel pump so will get an uprated one while Im at it. Check vac hoses. Put it back on rollers after that and see what the crack is.
  13. I know your pain my friend, found a serious issue with mine today! Re point 2, check the earths. My speedo went nuts and was due to a broken earth coming off the sender from the gearbox. Long shot but worth a look around. Re point 3, could be something silly like big stone stuck in your tyre tread.
  14. Just remember cats and mufflers are for Grannies
  15. Its certainly a good starting point and you can see if you want to go bonkers from there
  16. The STI Brembos brakes would be the way to go . Got them on my Leggy and very happy. You shouldnt have any issues hitting 260 BHP with stock turbo, decent exhaust, intake and map. Bigger turbo, injectors and other bits will see you over 300 BHP.
  17. Welcome! Importing a Legacy ....... kudos to you Both the 2.0 Turbo and 3.0 H6 are very nice cars as standard and not much between them on the road. My mate has a H6 and its not like I spank him on stock boost. The H6 does need a bit more 'neck ringing' where the turbo is nice to drive lower end on the primary turbo. The first thing I would ask yourself is, are you looking at modifying it? Unless you spend big money on a supercharger + the standard additions of exhaust and filter, you wont get much more power from the H6. The 2.0 turbo will get you up to 315ish BHP without spending too much and of course you can unlock that 4cyl Scooby burble Personally I would be looking for a nice low mileage late Twin Turbo E Tune. Enjoy the forum
  18. Welcome! 2006 would have to be 2.5 I believe. 2.0 l stopped 2005. You will get many different views on which is best but all really come down to personal experience I guess. 2.0 more reliable power but 2.5 more torque. For not a lot of money you can get more power, exhaust, filter and map are the most common routes. There are some good threads on here and plenty of experience. Dig in
  19. I think the STI wheels of the same year would be the 114 PCD and yours is a 100 PCD. If you wanted bigger wheels youd be safe with pre 2005 STI wheels. Having said that the offset wont be that noticeable so you may still find they look a bit lost. You would need to either get some spacers for the standard Subaru alloys or potentially aftermarket wheels with maybe a mid 40's offset. But hey if your happy then leave it be. As you say the Subaru guys picked it for a reason.
  20. lol exactly what was running through my mind!
  21. Interesting! Least they are tackling it which is great news for you Taking bets on what they find?
  22. Ive decided not to as I cant guarantee Ill have a baffled sump by then. No way Im risking it until then
  23. Never seen anything like that before. Slightly confused about how this would work day to day in terms of resticking it? Looks hard wired. I may be thinking all wrong though?
