  1. Very true! I went without a Japanese turbo for far too long! I do love listening to my primary with the windows down.
  2. Its hard to say really, the rough idle could be all sorts. Have a search on here first for similar issues/solutions, maf, vac hoses etc. If your down Aylesbury way, Ive used DSA for over 10 years who are a Jap tuning specialist with dyno.
  3. Lol Do you have a good tuner near you?
  4. Thats cool dude. I would def at least change the oil and filter Further on from that if your feeling fruity, do the plugs and see if you can see when the belts were done.
  5. Welcome! Looks good Has it had a good service history?
  6. E.G - smooth! Tidgy?
  7. Yes! Get a better map. Looks like the Alps. I jest a bit but it looks like it could do with a tweak. Do you have the other sheets (boost, fueling etc) and a wider shot?
  8. Ditto. My preference is standard intake arrangement with uprated panel filter. I tried quite a few different types but have settled for a dry foam Ramair. I think your getting the picture now
  9. Thats cool Each to their own with how to go. There is something to be said for knowing what has been changed first hand. Just look for performance mods not 'performance mods' if you go modified Lets us know when your ready to go though and what you find and sorry no experience with ScoobyWorld.
  10. Hi, Id say water ingress would actually be minimal and should burn off harmlessly. Plenty of people swapped bonnets from WRX's on to their sports! Anyone else think why it would be an issue?
  11. The first placed Id start is someone breaking one if your struggling and dont want to spend a fortune. EG http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-2008-2009-2010-Breaking-Engine-and-Gearbox-sold-/321995698858?hash=item4af87072aa:g:FjQAAOSwHQ9WYDLy
  12. The short answer is NO you wouldnt. Only really applicable if you are decatting. Looks like a nice system though! Should sound really nice.
  13. Put it this way, I had a broken ring on my 2.3 Mazda 6 and there was no smoke at all until heavy acceleration and even then couldnt notice it while driving. That was going through a lot of oil too!!
  14. They would def be the wrong stroke. Short answer, dont do it.
  15. Welcome! A man with a plan! Not a bad one at that! Good base example? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-SILVER-IN-EXCELLENT-CONDITION-BLOBEYE-/222012291767?hash=item33b0f6bab7:g:KOEAAOSw5dNWr5Sh
  16. Welcome! Yes I am liking the Dynamics too! Looks very tidy
  17. Red is nice and slagish
  18. Using a litre of oil every 500 miles is a lot to me. The mileage/wear cant be high enough for that sort of use! What did they actually do as a full rebuild? Is there a possibility this couldve been an issue before and linked to the head gasket issue? You would expect to see white smoke if it was something serious (Ringland) but you say your not getting anything
  19. Think Im going to give the boot a go, looks plenty big enough
  20. Well coil packs aren't mega money and if you trust the garage I would try that and while they are down that way get that leakage test done
  21. http://www.haywardandscott.com/subaru.html All the way baby!
  22. Good job its going in to the garage tomorrow, just noticed my left headlight isnt working!! Dont know anything about HID's so hopefully its an easy fix
  23. The first thing I would look at doing is a cylinder leakage test if your struggling this much. Good starting place to build on.
  24. Interesting so see it holding up so well! Very impressive 1/4 with the kit btw. I have an Exedy good for 360bhp thats nice enough for daily driving. Shouldnt be silly money.
