  1. Decals arrived today, excellent as usual! I think I underestimated how big I needed the Laile one lol. Ill have a look see what its like later.
  2. For your bonnet scoop to tmic?
  3. Welcome, So from 1999 up to and including 2003 you will get a BH5 twin turbo GTB Gen3. Later years will be the E Tune but not a lot difference. These are your twin turbo, sequential so like your old one wouldve been, primary turbo till around 4-4.5K then secondary until the world ends. They can be mapped to around 315 bhp on standard engine by tuners like BR Developments. There is a home mod that you can do which I am literally just in the swings of trying now but waiting to get it on the rollers on Thursday to see if its safe. Manual would be better for sure but people do seem to like the tiptronic, suppose this comes down to preference really. No issues with either as far as I know. Yes manual is more stock power 280bhp, 260bhp for the autos. After the BH range you go to BP Twinscroll Gen4. This is a conventional single turbo set up. Twinscroll refers to the type of turbo. Sort of like having 2 turbos in one if you will. Much more efficient. On stock mechanics you can get 320 bhp from them I believe. In short, if you have the monies get a Twinscroll. A BH5 is lovely when it runs right but up keep is more key and they are sensitive. You will spend a lot more time fiddling
  4. If there are no fault codes then not sure, sorry dude.
  5. This may or may not help. http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/How-to-read-clear-fault-codes-on-Subaru-inc-Impreza-/10000000002365952/g.html
  6. 1111 No codes stored 11 Crankshaft position sensor (Don't confuse with above, usually when the crankshaft sensor if dodgy the thing won't start anyway)
  7. Did you discount the crankshaft sensor?
  8. £45K I would spend on something else if you ask me
  9. Have to stick to my early manhood crush of Vicky + I reckon Sabines been round the track a few more times. Piston slap, worn rings etc
  10. Passed MOT with no advisories Back on the rollers on Thursday.
  11. Welcome! Sounds like you have just the right mind set! You should def not be looking at Land Rovers for £1.5K lol You'll def get some good pointers here, good luck with your search and we look forward to seeing the impending addition
  12. Hi, Does sound like piston slap to be honest. How many miles are on the clock? What oil do you use? have you checked it recently? When was it last serviced?
  13. Exciting times for a couple of reasons then lol! When do you reckon you'll get them on?
  14. Why did you have to try a jump start it? Was the battery dead when you reattached?
  15. Welcome! Wouldnt be seen dead in that Looks the nuts, do you have any more pics? As per Scoobydoobydan hopefully we'll get to see it at some point.
  16. Car seems to be running 100% again now after hours of searching I found the secondary turbo hose was completely loose!!!!
  17. Right, Ive def not got any of that! Thats good to know. Suppose I just need to take the car off the road while its done.
  18. £1200! Sounds very good. I need there number lol. The previous owner had them fitted so Im not sure how old they are but would say a few years. The fronts are good as gold but one of the rears is looking a bit tired. Might look to have the rears replaced or refurbed or whatever later this year.
  19. Not a bad price that! I have them on mine but have them set low and hard. I found low and softer was too bouncy for me. In short you may find you have to sacrifice ride height for comfort.
  20. Welcome! That is a lovely looking Foz for sure looks nicely stanced from the back.
  21. Good to see you getting back in the fold Sam!
  22. At the rate mine is going Im going to be taking a !Removed! break and looking for a new Scoob too!!!!
  23. Had car on the rollers today again. Seem to have a issue! (of course!). Slightly low boost and mega lean off at 5500 rpm (secondary turbo) MAF is fine. Next stop to replace fuel pump so will get an uprated one while Im at it. Check vac hoses. Put it back on rollers after that and see what the crack is.
  24. I know your pain my friend, found a serious issue with mine today! Re point 2, check the earths. My speedo went nuts and was due to a broken earth coming off the sender from the gearbox. Long shot but worth a look around. Re point 3, could be something silly like big stone stuck in your tyre tread.
