Import car parts might be able to help. They usually find anything I’ve ever needed.

Contact import car parts. They sell them
-
Teesvalley Subaru just outside darlo but haven’t tried them for anything yet so can’t recommend

Contact ICP, import car parts they will probably be able to sort you out. As for aftermarket I’ve read that too but so far my dirt cheap eBay o2 sensor has worked on my Impreza. Burns slightly more fuel than on my knackered original but runs better and 10% of the price for original.

Tried the fuse box under the mirror controls? Just assuming that you checked the bonnet fuse box.

Subaru Forester 2003 2.0XT 67K Miles Manual FOR SALE
Jamie_uk replied to Roffel's topic in Member's Subarus For Sale
Shout if it doesn’t sell. Definitely curious about it. Always had a fancy to the turbo foresters -
Front or rear? Not sure if different years or models have a different lay out front sensor on mine I can see on the exhaust in between engine and radiator, haven’t changed that one but looks like the easier one since it’s literally in front of my eyes rear sensor down the left side of the engine as you look at it, awkward Git of an angle, blew £30 on extension bars and long socket to beefcake it from above, not enough space to get socket on. Unamused. Ended up pulling all underside trims off driver side too went in through wheel well with adjustable spanner do or die style and cracked it off. Anger is the key. get one of the offset 22mm o2 sockets, get it from underneath with a ratchet (what I was originally going to do) access would have been a doddle. Mine was TIGHT, try penetrating fluid around the threads if can get near them, anything that helps it at all is a bonus

Hesitant acceleration between 1500-2000rpm. Lower fuel economy. Rattling/whirring/grinding noise started while pulling away. All went away after changing my rear o2 sensor. Wish I’d done it sooner but one of them things you get round to and the car works so can’t be that bad….. if it happens again I’ll be doing it right away Not a mechanic by any means but sure I read they are involved with air/fuel ratio and if left can lead to a screwed up engine. Was another topic on here about this, last thing said was they were told it would have been a lot more serious soon so assuming

Looks like the sump to me from the little that I can see and if it’s the bottom of the engine presumably have the oil filter nearby if engines out like the impreza. Maybe it’s just been replaced before. When in doubt pull it out lol. If you’re really unsure pull that under tray off and put up another picture or wait a little and someone will tell you for sure.

Mines just started, usually first drive of the day for a few mins. Kicks back in notches like doesn’t want you to turn it fights. Fine once set off driving after getting out your space. First time I thought wheel was against the curb. fluid long over due though is on the list

Damn was hoping for an answer as my 2010 rx hatch has started this. I know my heat shields need sorting but got a bad feeling it’s not because of them.

My Impreza has the same warning lights, once was petrol cap wasn’t tight which Google said was common reason, once read codes and showed o2 sensor but it cleared itself, Just come back on after a few months so need to read it again but expecting it to be the sensor because I didn’t change it then.

Keep the centre pipe and flange. could try getting a flange section slightly bigger than front pipe online and a pipe connector. Put front pipe inside and clamp to pipe and new flange to hold it, drill flange if needed to match up with existing centre pipe one. chew on but might work and get you by till properly repaired and won’t need to get any work done to the centre pipe. Plus if works out well it might last a good while. done a few silly fixes to get through MOT, went a year after my rear silencer pipe sheared off the box clagged a full pot of gun gum on it to hold it on the night before got through MOT without even an advisory haha after that riveted some 90 brackets on and sealed up, then it’l sheared from the flange on the centre pipe, steel wire wrapped and sealed. Lasted till my next MOT till I found a replacement on eBay for 15% of Subarus cost. had centre sleeved near front joint last year, had a good run of about 3 years but the times come potentially for a replacement sadly.
-
Can’t help much but I found aftermarket silencers on eBay for my 2010 Impreza rx when Subaru quoted over £500. Centre section I had sleeved as I couldn’t find a replacement online at the time and didn’t bother asking Subaru given the silencer price. Developing issues with the front section now myself and haven’t found a single replacement online. if it’s just the area around the joint and the majority of the pipe is sound you could remove it and have a new flange section welded on from a donor exhaust off another car or possibly get a piece online to fit to it

Contact import car parts they are the best ones I know of.

Do you mean the seam between the skins around the edge of the wheel arches? Then it’s a yes for me clean and dry then pack it in where ever is possible. it stays tacky for a little while but it does dry up

Rear shocks needed for 2010, 2.0l petrol. But which ones? Help!
Jamie_uk replied to Peroni's topic in Subaru Forester Club
Give import car parts a try they stock a lot more than their website shows. They are my main go to for Impreza parts. -
Spamming scammers suck these days. Bring back that Nigerian Prince offering $6,000,000 for free all he wanted was your bank details. Haven’t heard from him For so long someone must have finally accepted it.

Tackling squeely front brakes in the intermittent drizzle. filed pad carriers down coated in rust and crud squeezing pads tight and stopping them coming off the discs, cleaned stainless sliders bent back into right shape, fitted new shoes as one was worn at an angle gutted because only half worn down. and to top off the excitement got a split in the piston boot so kit to order tonight probably the cause of the diagonal wear so all coming apart AGAIN. I love Subaru's, Subaru's love rust, rust loves Subaru’s, I hate rust. Sad but true.

Subaru Legacy TDI stutter at 1600-200 rpm
Jamie_uk replied to vebjornlarsen's topic in Subaru Legacy Club
On the petrol it’s just on the intake pipe after the filter box held in with 2 security screws. Other things I did prior to cleaning the MAF was spark plugs, cleaning throttle body and cleaned EGR. EGR valve might want a clean anyway no idea if it would bring up a warning light but might not hurt to do it, our lass had a golf tdi and the thing got rotten with soot and packed in with the buildup. -
Timing Belt Replacement on Low Mileage Car
Jamie_uk replied to Trawlerman's topic in Subaru Servicing / MOT / Dealers
My 2010 Impreza handbook only shows mileage points for belt change, I asked a tech about it and told me they don’t need changing with age, just mileage. Had it changed in 2019 before hitting 60k just for peace of mind with the belt been 9 years old though they did say the belt looked fine when they replaced it. Rather the cost of a belt change than the chance of it failing personally. -
Haven’t touched an outback before but import car parts (ICP) have always helped with anything I need for Imprezas.

What to do with my 1999 Subaru Classic...
Jamie_uk replied to Lukesgood27's topic in New Members Introductions
I’ve got a 2000 uk turbo with the plans on restoring it to new driving condition changing all bushes, suspension and stripping parts and repainting etc then getting it to PPP level, it won’t be showroom but my aim was to make it last, to cut a massive story short I too had the option of a garage and I took it, but by doing so it became a chore getting to it in free time to continue the work so it slipped by the wayside. Now been sat a couple of years! Now I have the time to attempt it again with it been sat it’s more of a dread to touch it. If I get the back end rebuilt and by some grace get it started I will be trying to get it on my driveway under a cover to work on more conveniently so it’s not left again. Garaging was the biggest mistake for me. On the bright side it’s atleast been fully protected from the elements. Looks a nice car be a shame to waste it, restore it but keep it close. -
As above my Impreza ones are seized and coated up but thankfully dont cause any problems, too brittle to clean down but no warnings and headlights are stuck at a good level. Is the dealers price including labour? ICP is my go to for parts.
