  1. I haven’t used them but I did randomly come across a “Subaru specialist” garage on pelton fell industrial estate the other day so can’t comment what they are like. Subaru at croxdale was ok, decent service but wanted to charge the earth and then mixed oil grades on a timing belt change which I wasn’t happy about when I found out so they got the boot, on top of other questionable visits to other garages I don’t really trust any of them unless I have to. so I do all servicing and small repairs i can, but if you have a trusted garage I’d say stay with what you know because they are hard to find.
  2. Had hesitation at these revs and very similar symptoms in my 2litre Na petrol and cleaning the MAF helped a lot. Did it a couple of years ago and it’s just starting again intermittently so will be cleaning it again shortly.
  3. Going to get bushes pressed into subframe this morning then onto cleaning down and repainting this tank.
  4. 2.0na rx hatch did this spark plugs made no difference for me tried injector cleaner, cleaned egr and throttle body made small difference, cleaning the maf didn’t conpletely cure it but made a big difference
  5. New front brakes on the rx, one small scratch and a little warping was making it a nightmare to drive. finally got some overdue time off to get back to the classic fingers crossed done for christmas
  6. Was interested but sadly would have to get my rx hatch sold first
  7. Removed diff crossmember and brackets etc what an utter (insert as many swear words as you can imagine) it was to get out. Rather annoyed and happy that it has very little rust and the bushes aren't that bad, still getting blasted and new ones though after all that hassle. Hubs and diff are coming off next on hindsight should have done first
  8. https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=12538&cat=96&sub=457&sec=476&var=38&dc=0&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart= 20mm on according to this
  9. Power washed subframe and took to a garage for sand blasting and all new bushes On the plus side no rot I could see
  10. damn I would have been allover that if it was 10months ago
  11. Blew about 6months of dust off and got back to my classic. Spray coat of black to do then onto stripping down the subframe and rear bumper bar for priming and painting, hopefully followed by hubs and struts in the next week
  12. Yeah they are nice, I'm interested just give me a shout when they are out please . no prob about a few weeks no rush just bought a house bank account needs time to recover anyway mate
  13. £1400 that's a bargain!! First car at 19yr old was a clio 1.2 8v cost £3300! Car cost half that
  14. Ah right fair enough. Yes please if you wouldn't mind. My classics still sat in bits probably will be for a couple more months. Hour and half away from me so that's not too bad
  15. Sorry for late response never had a notification of a reply. On the drivers seat where the back meets the base is there a gap or is it just me? Where abouts are you for collection?
  16. Have you got some pics of this please if it's still available?
  17. Put that on gumtree eBay or shpock it'll sharp shift at that price I'm sure. Half tempted myself
  18. Had hesitation in my NA Impreza at around 2k revs, cleaned maf sensor and throttle body sorted it out.
  19. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201704094235335?make=SUBARU&advertising-location=at_cars&radius=1501&postcode=dh15jq&model=IMPREZA&year-to=2000&maximum-mileage=50000&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&sort=sponsored&page=1 my mistake, wrx import.
  20. There's a classic on auto trader for 15,000 or so. 2000 miles on the clock from memory
  21. Id take the chance and get them to fix it personally.
  22. So far bomb proof but only had one for just under two years. Got a good service history? Timing belt been done?
  23. If the sellers paying for it get it fixed doesn't hurt if doesn't cost you. green gunk if it's the same as what my 2.0 had allover the bay its that sealant stuff they use, was one of my first questions Didn't see the refund option, how many miles etc are on it?
  24. Diesel is an rx anyway isn't it? Could be wrong but thought bonnet was only difference body wise to the wrx?
  25. Aye personally too high Milage for me think my hatch had 31k when bought it, classic I got only bought because had 44k on it. Only go for cars with low miles no idea why just always do. I buy with intention to keep and not change, in my head best car I can get. Do the same with everything tbh weird I know.
