  1. Hi bazza it's the Fairmile, Portsmouth Road, Cobham, Surrey, KT11 1BW They have a resturant aswell so you can book a table to eat. Surrey Scoobies meet there monthly every 2nd sunday of the month from 1pm.
  2. Yeah did think of Plastic plates How much are they these days? I was going to use paper so we can just dble sided sticky tape them, saves removing the plates, I've seen a few cars leaving the shows with show plates still attached :D don't think the local bobbies would have been too forgiving as the pull you over
  3. I want to make up some show plates for Jap fest and need a decent sized version of the logo. I'm going to make them from Paper and print off front and rear, so we can put them on the cars at the club stand. Also this will mean you reg doesn't get plastered all over the interweb from people taking pics. this is too small to enlarge to number plate size :(
  4. What did WRC spares say about the wheels out of interest?
  5. Yeah I know what you mean, however I remember seeing gold wheels on black Porsches' and Smokey and the Bandits firebird long before the WRC cars, plus I am biased having just got gold wheels :D
  6. On my classic Impreza in the past I've paid £300 inc parts, and this was done at my house on the driveway. Just been quoted £100 + Parts (Cambelt, Followers and Tensioner) normally around £160-£200 depending on where you get them from. So again thats about £300 by an independant Subaru Specalist. For a Main dealer I would expect its nearer your £450. I would see if you can take it to an independant Subaru Specalist who knows how to do it without taking half the car apart.
  7. thats good means as the owner you dont have to buy the ecutek licence @£500 :D
  8. Welcome to the club :)
  9. Send the pic to Prodrive and get the answer from the preverbial horse's mouth?
  10. As far as I am aware all the WRC wheels were oz either Branded OZ racing or Sparco. The only other wheels I can think of are the BBS fitted to the early impreza's and 22b, please correct me if wrong.
  11. Just bought ebay nuts, so by the weekend my nuts will be Black :)
  12. Ouch!!!! :o £80 far too much ££'s imho. The ones I were looking at were £25 I guess they are made to a price, but at £25 a pop I'd replace then every year if they get manky.
  13. Anyone had experince with the Hex Wheel nuts? was looking to replace the old grubby lockers and thought these may be an idea as pretty much every wheel nut is a locker. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111094728185?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1975wt_1037
  14. Looking Good, thats lot of ££'s spent :)
  15. Also found these Sparco ASSETTO GARA quite close to the OZ wheel.
  16. Oh allright I'll post another pic of the new wheels :)
  17. Also with them being magniusm wheels, getting any curbing fixed is going to cost more than you paid for the wheel, just be carefull and park 6" away from any curb :)
  18. They will be specially made OZ wheels, you can't buy them mores the shame. But you can get close with something like the allegerita HLT or super Tourismo and superforgiata not cheap though. Also there's the Rota range. Or if you've got really big bucks the Volk range. Pretty sure everyone will chip in with their 2 pence.
  19. Hi Welcome to the Club great looking car. As jay has said, I went for Gold on my Black Hatchback, has Silver before on it before this.
  20. Sorry Diz and Jay the bolts are out. I going to have to get my mate to fit helicoils in the side I've taken off. The callipers have to come off completely anyway as braided lines are being fitted. Hopefully the other side isn't the same and will come off easily, I was too fed up to check. Might have to use your cable tie idea to get it to the garage Jay.
  21. I bet the rad had a pin hole in it. Mine had a pin hole in and I never saw it, took a garage to spot it for me.
  22. I've always dipped the clutch when I start cars, as well as taking the load of the engine it ensures the gearbox is disengaged from the engine so if it's in gear you won't lurch on starting , handy for bank job getaways :) With the newer cars you have to dip the clutch to start the car,
  23. Re driving your car on track agree, however I doubt Tiff seldom drives his own cars on the track, most racing drivers don't even think about it.
