  1. Nah. Custom from a company who do Jap Parts. Currently running without silencers, however, the other morning @ 6am, I couldn't hear my other half even tho she was only 6' away... (cold start) the neighbours 'could' hear me tho. 🤔 Wife claims she can hear me heading up the main road in a morning... I know it's quiet then, but it's the best part of 1/3 of a mile away. So even tho 'Loud pipes save lives', I'm gonna hope we're a little quieter soon, hopefully this weekend.
  2. Works for me. 😊 Lifts the back and widens the imagined stance.
  3. Ok, hands up if you've never had an exhaust in your living room? 🤔 Cat back, stainless, quad tip, 3" thru. Roll on the weekend! 😁
  4. Fitted and hard wired my new Nextbase 312GW dash cam, using a piggyback fused wire and a low profile window mount. 🙂
  5. Welcome to the madhouse! 🙃 Feel free to ask the guys and dolls here anything, there's some very knowledgeable people on here... And 1 or 2 nutters! 😁
  6. Looking good there @savage bulldogs Likewise, soaped her and rubbed. She came up fairly well. 😁 No albatross, thankfully.
  7. Pics or it didn't happen! 😁😁😁
  8. Direnza hubcentric black series, 15mm. Widely available, Google search for suppliers. Michelin Crossclimate 235/45 r18. Fitted locally via Blackcircles. Please check that you're able to accommodate the spacers and tyres BEFORE buying. 🤔 Would be a proper mare to find out they don't fit after. 😲
  9. Got cold and wet, but re-fitted my modified Rallyarmour flaps, with a slightly different position and angle, to suit my spacers and tyres. 😁 Just need to wash her now!
  10. As promised. 😊 And close ups of the wheels, I've had a slightly larger tire fitted (from 245/40 to 235/45) and it fills the arch nicely, but, I'm in the process of modifying my rear mud flaps as they rub slightly due to the stupid design of the bracket having protruding bolts instead of a recessed thread. 🤔
  11. The head unit was already fitted when I bought her, but there's no sign that it wasn't factory fitted. I'll sort a pic when I get chance. The spacers bring the wheels out just about perfect and there's no 'noticeable' difference in the drive or response.
  12. There really is nothing better in the snow than a Scooby. 😁
  13. Priceless! 😃😂🤣
  14. Hi. 😁 I own an sti on a '14 plate, here's my total biased opinion. You've made a great choice in cars, I'm on my 3rd Scooby in 10 years and couldn't imagine driving anything else. The opinions and review below are mine and as such should be treated with caution! 😊 Mine's a daily driver and our main car. Does 25 miles a day for work and has made a couple of road trips, Skye, Cornwall, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany. Never missed a beat and drove flawlessly. The Scoobys I've owned have been bullet proof, so far. Maintenance: Servicing, I tend to go 10k or 12 months. Check oil, water, brake wear, every 3 months. Wash off sap, bird crap, salt whenever spotted, clean when I can be bothered. Just serviced (Interim) with 4 wheel laser alignment and MOT, £180. Driving modes: Granny, (intelligent) good for rear passengers, very linear response and good round town. Sport, (sport) my choice when I'm on my own or just with the wife. Excellent response, great acceleration, just on the bridge between exciting and scary. Sport#, (trigger) what were they thinking, I would imagine it's awesome round a track, but almost unmanageable on the roads. Handling: Nothing to say other than, wow! Goes where you want, when you want. Steering's sharp and firm, still semi hydraulic I think. Gearing's a little short and there's some turbo lag, so you have to work the box and be on the ball all the time. You do have to be engaged with the car, it's not your sofa or an Audi. If you are willing to work a little, and enjoy driving, it's performance is immense. The car feels solid and incredibly stable, even an 145mph in the rain. Diff: (stock setting is roughly 40/60) I don't mess with the manual settings, not my cup of tea. Auto+ in the rain and snow, shifts the bias towards 50/50 Auto- when the temps over 20°, about 2 days a year. 😉 Running: Only ever used V Power, even when I'm Europe, it's worth the extra cost and the time to plan your route. I've averaged 27mpg over 10k, work runs every day, weekends away and the odd Autobahn. Servicing is reasonable, considering the performance car you now own. 😊 General: The ride is very firm but comfortable. Don't be tempted to soften the tyres, it weighs over 1500kg and will scrub them badly, even though it'll still handle like a dream. I run at 33psi front and 28psi rear. Had 14 months warranty left when I bought her, but wasn't worried about any problems. Just changed from Dunlop sport maxx xl, they've had a rough 12 months, really rough. 😁 And there's no way they were gonna make my mot. Fitted Michelin Crossclimate+ really good reviews and vids. I'll update when run in. This model is really hard to get the Scooby burble out of, I went stainless axle back and full muffler delete. Sounds great. 😁 Fairly sure the current sti still uses the 2.5 EJ25 with uelh. The new wrx uses the 2.0 FA20 with elh. Could be wrong, I'm told I often am. 🙄 I've definitely got burble. 😁 Cosmetics: Direnza hubcentric wheel spacers, 15mm all round. De badged the back, tinted rear indicators, black side badges Upgraded: Battery, Bosch S5 Panel air filter, Pipercross Pro R Head unit, Pioneer AVIC-F960DAB with sat nav. Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions. Pixyflash. 😁
  15. Technically it was Saturday and yesterday... 😊 4 new tyres (Michelin Crossclimate+) Laser wheel alignment Interim service MOT (pass with no advisories 😁) She's not cheap, but she's worth it!
  16. Hello. 😁 And welcome.
  17. Woo hoo! Go you. 😁😁😁
  18. Hi and welcome to the club. 😁 I've got the same car but it came with a Pioneer head unit fitted, AVIC-F960DAB. It's not a bad unit, Bluetooth, rear camera, connected to both USBs and steering wheel controls but I don't use the Sat Nav at all, in fact I've never updated the maps cuz I use TomTom Go (other brands are available 😁) on my phone, 3years world wide maps for around £35. Might be a better option.
  19. Welcome to the club. 😁 And enjoy your new Scooby.
  20. Not a lot of room to spare, if it had anything even resembling suspension there could have been problems. 😁
  21. Fitted new boots, Michelin Crossclimate+. Went from 245/40 to 235/45. They fill the arches... totally. 😁 And she's in for laser alignment, service and 1st mot on Thursday. I'm not nervous, honest. 😐
  22. Getting new boots fitted tomorrow, also going for Michelin Crossclimate +. Swapping 245/40 r18 for 235/45 r18, extra 7mm rad, should fill the arch nicely. 😊 £690 fitted, at my local garage via Black Circles. May take before and after pics.
  23. Hope this helps. 😁
  24. Went with Direct Line. £324 fully comp, me & the Mrs, £500 total excess, doing 10k per year. Not bad considering the rises of late. 😊
  25. Welcome & enjoy. 😁 Any questions, feel free to ask, there's a lot of very knowledgeable peeps on here.
